Those washers are dust covers for the thrust assembly on the opposite side of the diff.

They're not necessary, but I use them. They're not specified in the manual.

No, you don't shave the nubs. They slide in just like the T-nut slides in the other side.

Do I just slide them on or put the diff screw through them

Slide them in. Leave the diff screw as it is.

The only problem with them is if you have a driver that doesn't fit through the hole you might need to remove it to adjust the diff.

The flat side goes out.

True not always, BUT good to have just in case. DON is usually pretty quick at helping and getting things out. (unless swamped with work).

Default B44.2 - what would you improve?

Here's a list of what I'd like to see -

molded chassis - more tuning options, cheaper to replace, no more "I don't want to scratch it!"

big bores - these are already in the works

slipper v2 - allows front and rear to slip at different rates

new rear shock tower profile and lower wing mount - that sucker is way up there

aluminum in something other than blue

That's all I could come up with.

i agree with you on everything but the molded chassie keep carbon fiber chassie the car is the best 4wd out there so why make drastic changes like the chassie.

I'd like to see tougher arms, shock mounting that doesn't risk breaking the shafts in a crash, an optional aluminum chassis (for soft/loamy/bumpy tracks, but stick with CF as the default), optional gear diffs, and sturdier diff cases.

Basically, make a mod-oriented version that is heavier, more flexible, and tougher for outdoor racing. All stock 4wd racers will run the .1 and the mod racers would run the .2. Outdoor races with the B44/44.1 are like games of elimination, where it isn't which cars were fastest, but which cars survived the qualifiers and race.
