You dont want to take material off of the outdrives you will have to take it all the way off for it to not hit

You could dremel the a arm where it hits that would help. But you dont want to dremel to far then you will weaken the a arm.

Now I'm normally pretty dumb but me thinks the AE guys are watching this thread closely.

This is what I posted a few pages ago. NO AE guy has ever posted here with any tips or shared any ideas about what the top drivers are running on their trucks. Oh wait they never posted because they were too busy jotting down what the guys on here were doing. They just compiled the info for their big release of the "FT version". Man not one single orginal innovation on this new truck. Hell even the copy cat "clutch basket" that the AE guys were running is not even being used. They just changed the basket up a bit and pawned it of as their new and improved and called the VTS4 variable slipper. Oh and now this truck comes with a carbon fiber chassis brace...hmm, where have I seen that before? Now how much will that FT chassis brace be when sold as an option part? Coyote has em. I love my SC10 4x4 with all the upgrades and hop ups I have done with everyone's help here but I'm so let down by this release. Oh well it'll still sell.

Unfortunately it is not cost effective to patent RC car parts. My carbon tube brace posted on 8/16/11 was followed by a facebook conversation with an AE employee. Not that it was my idea to run a brace down the middle start with but I had not seen one mounted like that with a carbon tube until then.

When I pulled my chassis out of the box the first thing I thought when I seen it was how come they did not make this thing saddle pack. Shrugged my shoulders and built it stick pack and did not think any more about it. Sometimes you miss out and sometimes you make some money.

Chris from AE has posted on here and did provide some useful information in the beginning of the thread that got us pointed in the right direction. As much as we would like them too they wont show us everything they do. Somethings pretty cool fail and hit the trash can at AE I bet. If I remember right this truck started getting designed 2 years ago. If we new about it we would have been bothering them every week about it. That is why no one has seen the B5 yet.

We need BALLS not MAXI PADS to win races. I already have a sc10 4x4(my son's) and I was going to wait on the FT to get me one. But I think I will just get another regular sc10 4x4 and put some BALLS in it from RCShox along with the exotech chasis and inline batteries. We need BALLS AE not MAXI PADS.

Microsoft has been doing the same thing in the software industry for years. They put out a basic platform (windows, .NET, etc.) and some basic tools for creating apps. Then after thousands of developers create their own products to improve and enhance the platform, they take the best features of the different vendors, then throw their weight behind developing a more polished product using their ability to enhance the base platform to make their products work best.

Maybe we should make our own "open source" truck like people did with Linux. Design a base platform spec then let anyone produce parts for it

Basically, personaly I would rather buy MTK's basket if you are just going to be buying the FT basket. At least he is the creator of this product.

Dang Mac...you beat me to it.... but I'm not removing my comment....Cherry likes to ride me every time I mention that the stock slipper was inconsistent and mushy.... I gotta get my digs in where I can.

well it puts me out of a job. /shrug.

I'm severely disappointed they didn't look at Fixing the Chassis "without" the Brace. It's a cop-out for a FT kit like none ive seen before. You solve the problem, Not use what people have used to fix it which was hopefully temporary. Several Trucks need Chassis Braces, I agree with that, But This thing shouldn't.

I'll still buy one, and swap over some FT parts from mine to it, and make it full FT, then sell my old one, or make it my outdoor Runner, or something.

Guess I have more time to study now.
