It required some planning and fitting of the heatsink and the mounting of the fan was simply a screw through the fan and into the fins of the heatsink. The motor is a 540 size and there is no chance to use the supplied hardware bracket for the fan to mount it to the motor. It temps around 110 F after a full battery pack. I had to dial back the throttle for this track I run at it is actually too fast. I may drop down to a 13 or 12T pinion

I want to know how the Reedy Sonic 550 is.

I'm sure it's a fine motor. I don't know anyone who runs one, but seriously, what could be wrong with it?

Over the weekend, I switched to a 540 can motor, and am much, much happier with my truck outdoor on a hard packed dry slick track. I was successful this time because user Cameron Kellogg gave me the tip on the Yeah Racing fan with a 180 in the part number, and the motor no longer thermals.

Thanks Cameron!

The front of the brace screws into the front under body mount hole and the rear you have to drill a hole and use a locknut on the screw. Not to hard
