Sure, and AE isn't making an update shaft and backplate because there isn't a problem to fix. :

That's a good fix. Maybe if I leave my truck on a block my slipper won't slip either.

in case anyone was wondering he was running 30k front diff 5 rear, 1.3 pistons with 30wt oil

By pining the front pulley to the shaft they've eliminated the de-coupled (random) slipper. the outer hub flat key drives the rear. Now its like a touring car with a slipper...

I really like the way the clutch basket works, its very predictable and allows for tuning front rear bias w/pad size. I run a Novak 4.5 14mm rotor, boosted 60 on a RX8, geared 14/58. It, with other tweeks and weight balance took almost 2 seconds of my lap times , just by being able to jump farther and get on the power earlier.

This track we run at is huge. my only problem now is i have to be carefull braking, it will flip me truck at the end of the 200 ft straight! Looks retarded watching your truck flip off the track

Jodge , sorry you got it all wrong , the slipper still performs same as before....Just the rear plate can't slip & now you can adjust or loosen the slipper as intended for even better performance & traction ...

Now the front and rear gearbox is "locked/pinned" to the rear gear box shaft. The slipper slips now like it does on the 2w trucks.

I understand that the slipper will still work, but if they pinned the rear shaft to the front pulley, the front and the rear cannot move independently. what slips is only the spur between the two fixed slipper hubs.

Currently the rear hub is indexed to the front pulley. The drive comes from the pressure on the thrust washer from the whole slipper assembly. decoupled, hence the problem.

The outer hub is indexed to the shaft and drives the rear w/gears.

Unless they did something totally different from what you described, it would not be decoupled anymore

The problem was the rear plate slipping when you ran a loose slipper , now that won't happen , design & performance is still the same ....

With the old style slipper ?

It sometimes demanded a very tight setting to keep the rear plate from slipping.
Canceling out any benefit the slipper could bring to the car as the slipper was about locked up to get proper acceleration ...

When you say rear slipper you are talking about the outter slipper plate correct.

This would be so much easier with pictures.

The first plate installed behind the spur has the notch for the new pin on the top shaft ...

Not for sure , but the outside plate looked the same ....
I got to examine the parts just before installation....
