Ok I got my replacement back 10.5vtx10 broken inn my buggy 22 I'm very happy with this motor/esc and the pro gauge is very nice and handy..i did leave it stock for now but now I want to crank up some power a bit..where do I start ? Adjust the degree timing on the motor?how much degree?I do remove the 3 screws on the back right? Also on the pro gauge I see profile like 1/2/3/4 ect are they all the same settings? Do I adjust the degree timing on each profile?

Breaking is very smooth I would like to get more out of it..

Also motor/esc was cool not even warm due to the winter weather the indoor track is cool so it help it even more on the esc/motor/batt..

Thanks

You may try checking the voltage cut off on the esc - or even using additional capacitors plugged into the receiver to help make sure the voltage is up. Just some late night thougts.

Nitro- sorry, I don't have experience to help point you in the right direction.

I tried different settings and an external bec and still couldn't make my vtx10r work with my pro4 4600. Would cut out at full throttle. Punch control from 20% up to 80% didn't matter. Never did figure it out.

and also, will the VTX8 have a "dual mode" or "smart sense" function?

Default VTX / 10.5 settings help

Hi Guys,

A new much larger indoor carpet track has opened in my area. I was running a 13.5 but I have a feeling this will not be enough for the new track.

I'm looking to throw in a 10.5.

Does anyone have any base line settings. It's for an RB5.

I am looking for esc settings and gearing combos.

Here is a little vid, just to give you an idea of the track size.

Thank You

Here is a copy of my VTX10 / VST10.5 settings that I run quite frequently. This will have decent mid-range punch and mellow top end. If not enough strait away speed, go to 8-12 deg Top Speed Timing.

I ran this past Sun with the set up previously mentioned and a 13T pin. Truck had good power through the entire band, but maybe lacking just a tick on top. Motor was barely warm if at all, after an 8 minute run. I'll be gearing up a bit next time out. Also, I didn't time it, but I'd guess I could run 10-12 minutes, maybe more on a 5200Mah 60C LiPo, much MUCH better than the previous motor.

If you look on the paper(manual) that came with the esc or go to vipers website under the vtx10 section and the manual is there .it shows the setting of each profile , some are recommend for mod and some for stock , it's all spelled out , I believe the chart is on the back . You can use these preset profiles Or save over then with your custom profiles , each setting is explained on that same paper at the bottom .

To get more power you can check your throttle punch an make sure it's at 100% if so you can add timing on the esc or motor just watch your temps .

Can someone explain the endbell timing and what exactly lower vs. higher mechanical timing does for a 17.5 motor.

always thought if you turned up the timing you got more rpm, less power. but it gets hot faster also. that's my opinion.
