I had a similar problem and put a 2mm longer screw for the tab and it does not loosen now. I run a lower profile battery and used 3x14mm screws instead of the 3x12mm screws.

A B6.4 body will fit with some trimming of the nose. Just overlay the B7 body to the B6.4 body and cut the nose out.

Surprisingly, it's fits really good after trimming.

I'm sure there is a difference but I can't speak to what it might be. I did see that Dustin Evans is using the 6.4 FT servo mount so that is what I decided to start with.

I would confidently say that the Gear Diff will not be compatible since the new one is using B74 LTC gears. That means the case and potentially outdrives are different.

5.0mm is the stock offset. It should be printed or laser etched on the axle.

I would reccomend 6-7 if running on carpet. I would not go any less than 5.0mm.

I'm running stock and Mod and the only difference in my setup is rear diff oil is heavier for mod due to the power.

Obviously Mod has a slipper and stock has a lockout.

I've been running light front, heavy rear for a while on carpet. 4k Fr, 30K Rr. Ive also tried 7k Fr, 30K Rr. This is all with a center diff with 1 or 2 million.

It really calms the car down...
