Glitches
Ok I had glitches as in the car deciding to go full throttle for a second when I was braking or just not doing what I wanted as in turn a second later like I was locked out, I managed to fit a 2300 mah life pak instead of the 4 AA's, as I was nailing the AA's, same issue so I rotated the antenna, same issue except this time when my car for a brief second didn't respond I looked at the signal strength on the radio, it was at 0.
I haven't tested the update yet am hoping that that will work. |

Try to set the servo type to analog
I hear that wil take the gliches out. |
I run 3 classes, SCT, ebuggy and Nitro truggy. I've always ran a protek life pack, and all running a R304SB RX. On the truggy I'm also using a temp sensor. I have practiced one night and raced 2 race days with all 3 vehicles and I have only honestly remembered to turn the antenna one time, but I have never noticed a glitch. I have charged the battery before each of the two race weekends. Every time I have used it so far it has been inside an indoor steel building. I ran a 15 min b main and a 30 min a main with the Truggy this past weekend also with no glitch.
I also have not done the firewire update since I seen some people who thought they had problems after the update. I hope my luck continues, it's a 3 1/2 hour drive to race for me during the winter months. It would be a long drive if I had to be trying to figure out radio problems. |

Did you purchase your 4PX recently or is it one of the earlier pre-order units? I suppose without s/n, the answer to my last question may or may not help pinpoint an issue there. |
Just curious.
For those who are glitching, was it with the FHSS receivers or the FAAST receiviers? Used my 4PX for the first time last week in a race with the 304SB-E receiver, and everything was fine. Std Life battery pack too. |

Thanks for the data points.

Hey everyone, my apologies in advance if this has been discussed, I sifted through all 64 pages and tried a few searches but, didn't find what I was looking for.
I'm considering getting the 4PX. It would be to replace my Spektrum DX4R Pro. I'm a bit confused with the FASST and FHSS protocols when it comes to which is faster. I want the fastest and smallest receiver possible. Which one is it? |

As a happy coincidence thay are also much cheaper than the older fasst recievers. |
The FHSS has the fastest response time and the FASST have a better secure frequency hopping.
I think that’s how it was explained too me last week. :tire: The R614's (FASST) and the R304SB (FHSS) are the same size as each other. Dimensions: 1.38 x 0.91 x 0.35 in (35.1 x 23.2 x 9.0mm) |
