The new software allows for race mode similar to the 4PX-R. It gives slightly better response times with telemetry turned off. I had the 4PKS-R and I like the feel of the 4PX. Even more so with the new RACE mode. Again, you can feel a bit of a difference with race mode on and off. But it also gives you an option to slow the response down as well. This might be useful if you have trembling hands when you race. You can actually see the wheels tremble. LOL. But again, it depends on your servo speed as well. I try to get servos that are 0.08s or faster.

If you want to compare response, there is no actual value posted on response time, but it is quicker than the 4PKSR for sure. Futaba says 30% quicker than the 4PKSR.
But no hard values on response times.

Aren't these the same frame rate.? Is there a difference in the actual speed once installed? Anyone use both? I was told they are the same speed but 204 doesn't have telemetry, which was what I thought I had found myself. Thx much

Im using hobbico life 2s 1900mah battery on my 4px i control the 4px settings when first plug the life batteries almost every 2 min drop it 6.6 6.5 6.4 and alarm set 5.8v @life select.

is it normal i think no how can i race with this pistol

what should i do? whats the avarage working hour with life 1900mah ty

Sorry I can't help you with the life battery, haven't tried one yet. To give you something to compare to I run a 2200 5 cell NIMH pack and generally get around 6-7 hours of usage before its time to recharge. I keep track of the time by using the Total Time feature in the System/Time menu, but haven't paid attention to how quickly the voltage drops.

I usually recharge mine every 2-3 race days. Something seems wrong if you see voltage drop that quickly. Maybe a bad cell in the life pack?

When I asked customer service they said that due to the chemical structure of life battery , and check my life battery cell everythings ok

Life battery drops so fast 6.5 6.4 6.3 and stop and drop down so slowly.

I'm using a LiFe battery that's about three years old and it holds it's charge for four race days at least. I'll recharge once the voltage drops below 6.5.

The battery has seen use in my 4PL and now in the 4PX. Voltage drop seems a bit more in the 4PX.

which battery do you use and your battery drop down like a 1 min 1v till the coming 6.5 or 6.4

You have to copy the firmware file into the futaba folder. Make sure there is not other subfolder within the futaba folder
