Yes thats my issue and the problem is that the remote had this since i fired it up the first day i got it. The other problem with this is that it has a warranty sticker and i cant open it without braking it. Also you got any link to any manual or video of how to open it?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting, I did not have a warranty sticker on mine, or I probably would have given taking it apart more thought.

If that's the case for yours, I would have to agree with pword and look into getting a warranty replacement. Unfortunately I did not take a video of how I took mine apart, but if warranty ends up not being an option for you for any reason I'm willing to help you out and make a video and/or pictures of the difficult parts of splitting the case without breaking it.

Today i sent it for a warranty replacement/repair and we see how it goes.
Thanks for the offer btw :)

I'm interested in replacing my 4pks-r with the 4px but have some detail on the spec I'm still not clear about. Futaba claims the 4PX is 30% faster but is it with the r304sb or R614fs? If the much cheaper r304sb is faster than r614fs then what is the point with the fasst system other than better data security? Also if r304sb can be faster than r614fs, does it mean 4pls is also faster than 4pks-r?

I didn't see this thread and I started one asking what others thought about this radio. I'm thinking about getting one.

The way I understand it. Futaba FHSS does have a lower latency(faster) than the 4pk(s-R) with Fasst. The Fasst system does more scanning to ensure a solid link between the TX and RX. This extra scanning comes at an expense of slightly longer latency(slower). I myself see nothing wrong with Futaba Fhss system. For surface vehicles FHSS has proven to be very secure with a lower latency compared to the Fasst system. Every major brand has switched over to FHSS (except maybe Spektrum). I believe the Fasst system is more suited for Air models which need a rock solid link between TX and Rx. As far as the quality issues with the new 4PX that is a concern of mine and is why I still use the 4PKS-r. I also believe using the 4PX with a Fasst receiver is still slower than using the 4px in FHSS mode. In a nut shell I believe the Fasst protocol can never be as quick as FHSS because of the extra scanning. Also FHSS systems are much cheaper to produce than Fasst systems.

The 4px with the 304sb is 30% faster than the 4pksr. Speed is but one attribute to a radio signal. Security, range, reliability and others. Truth be told, I use both receivers with my 4px, and I think almost everyone couldn't tell the difference.

My guess on the 4pls is that it lacks the processing power of the 4px and is probably slower than the 4pksr.

I had one of the first 4px's in the US, and its been rock solid. Done wore the pwr lettering off from use.

Yep, as far as the speed of these things I thing you really have to be either really , really good or super human to notice it.

So whats the truth to this radio with these wireless receivers. It seem that the receivers are cheap.

Finally got around to installing my dropdown from IMBUE. Looks AMAZING with the carbon grab handle. #ad

Thanks for the info. I think I'll make the switch from 4pks-r to 4px next year at some point. I liked the 4pks-r but the receiver price is really high. Switching from 4pks-r to 4px is easy since all existing C2 fast receiver will still work and it also supports all the much cheaper FHSS receiver as well. Hope the quality control will be sorted in the mean time.

I read that on 4PX you use life battery but i know many ppl that have the 4px and use lipo battery and claim that has no problem at all (even 8.4v full charged). I found this one http://www.the-border.com/Robbe-2S-2...T4PX-4618.html. Anyone used a lipo for long without problems ?

You can get a proper 6.6V LiFe battery for less than half the price of that lipo, so why risk it on a $400 radio?
