What is the benifit of the new firmware with the race mode? Are you more connected with the car because you have a better resolution and is it on par with Sanwa m12s?

My servo hv9353 has 0.06/60° speed with 23 kg torque , should a notice a difference?

Alright,

R204GF-E not binding up to the 4PX, I have 2 new ones here and nothing.

The Receiver menu choice you pick S-FHSS and it is not like the T-FHSS where you link it with a timer and it stores and displays the link ID.

The receiver will only look like something is going on in S-FHSS mode when turning it on as it flashes green. Then after following the instructions after turning on transmitter and receiver you press and hold the link button on receiver, the green flashing goes away and off. Nothing happens, tried a few seconds hold to like 30 seconds.

Any ideas?

How close is the TX antenna to the RX? I notice it won't bind if it is too far away, and literally you almost have to have the radio antenna right to the rx to bind.

Dino it was like 30cm away. I will try some other distances and elevations.

have you try releasing the blind button on rx once it's turn on? Holding might cause rx to going into reset cycle.

I have this receiver and it does bind to my 4PX. I have experienced what you describe though with S-FHSS receivers. Usually when I get nothing after pressing and holding the receiver button I turn the car off and back on, and it works. Sometimes I have to go through the procedure of setting the radio from T-FHSS back to S-FHSS, relink the receiver, and switch the car off/on, but this usually works after a couple tries.

Also, if you have issues with only your servo not working try setting the radio to Analog (or if you want to stay in Digital mode, unplug the servo and plug it back in with the car on). I've had issues with digital servos with every S-FHSS receiver I've used with my 4PX.

They are binded now. Had to hold the 4PX transmitter with its antenna like almost touching the receiver about 1cm away.

Thanks for the help guys.

Exactly Like i said. The antenna has to be next to the RX. It won't bind like an arm length away for some reason.

Anyhow, Glad to got it to work.

Besides that i really really want the Futaba 4PX, i am currently running with a Futaba PLS. What would be the benefit besides me really really really wanting the PX :) Futaba PLS vs Futaba PX cons and pro.

Thanks guys for the answers :)

honestly you dont gain anything other than trackside swaggar :) You can do the same things with both radios..

That said lol i went from 4pk to 4px and it was just a matter of upgrading because i managed to sell my radio for a fair price.

Some cons for me:
-i had to buy a case for it. To protect it. More money
-already dont want to use it with my yeti, as i dont want to use it outdoors lol its just to pretty to get wet or dusty
-i dont feel comfortable letting my kids use it... more money may need a cheap radio for yeti so kids can use or drop by mistake

PROS:
-access to affordable receivers(compared to 4PK)
-menu system is greatly improved.
-upgradable firmware. should allow futaba to keep its in peak performance longer
-look like a pro even if you cant drive :)

Can anyone provide a little clarification as to what throttle ATL controls, how the setting effects and handling and what it is the standard setting, if there is one. I'm somewhat new to the hobby, and I am racing on an indoor clay surface. Thanks in advance for any help!

JayL 04-14-2016 12:37 PM

it adjusts the throttles limit on the brake side
start with it at 100 and if you don't need full brakes anywhere turn it down until full brake, pushing the throttle forward all the way, is the max amount of brakes you need on the track

Joel Lagace 04-14-2016 03:34 PM

Yes. ITs an on the fly adjustment that you use AFTER you have setup your END point adjustments and ESC has been programmed. (or for nitro guys your end point for brake servo)

Use it from track to track condition to condition knowing that at 100% setting is your absolute maximum braking power. Dial down for what you require..

My 2wd buggy ALT is set to about 55% on astro turf.

loaded q

I know its a bit of a loaded q but have any of you guys had experience with the ex1 v3 m12s or 4px and could give some kind of comparison between them regarding the best feeling trigger and wheel? What has the highest quality feel? thank you

turtle189 04-15-2016 01:39 PM

Just curious how long a 1900 life pack should last in the 4px?
