Apple is the 6th biggest company in the US and they know what's up. An app or game is entirely different than allowing connectivity to an external device/controller. It just isn't going to happen. Part of the reason that iOS devices run so smooth is because they are so secure. 5 billion emails wouldn't change that. Us Apple users are 100% tough out of luck. A cheap Android tablet(or an expensive Windows version) is our only solution.

Did I miss the release date, or is it still unknown?

It was stated in another thread that when released the app would work on the rs, rspro, and rx8 as well. It will not be exclusive to the rsx. Also it will still use the same hotwire.

I can assure you that pestering them for a date over and over wont get it on the shelf any sooner. They want us to have it as much or more than we want it. They wont release it until they are 100% satisfied with the end product. I'm okay with that because I dont want a sub par product.

Rather have one in december that doesn't blow up then have now but blow it up.

People need to know when a product is coming to plan builds accordingly or move on to other manufacturers if it's going to be any length of time. That or just have a dead car and a mystery running date. It isn't about rushing a product to shelves. It might be different if one could just go down to the LHS and pick up a RS Pro but that isn't possible because stock is depleted. It's the RX8 issue all over again. I guess if you want to run the best.... you have no choice but to wait with no known date..... again.

I only ask because I'm in the market for a new ESc, and I like my old rs.

no release date,factory drivers of course doing a larger test at worlds,if i guess i would say team drivers may get emails regarding them in a few months but that's a guess

What is the thought on the sensor wire being located behind and under the posts? All of my dislike for LRP centers around the same concept.

I wish I could just run an RS. I can't though because of my 6.5 motor. Tekin has NOTHING available for me(and many others) and that just isn't good. How many people will just go out and buy a different brand to have a temporary esc just so they can drive/race their car NOW? Many people will be satisfied with the performance and then lose all motivation to spend the money on the RSX when it finally comes out. Those are lost customers for Tekin whether they care or not. I support Tekin and their great products but this is twice now that my builds have sat for months waiting on them. No old stock and nothing coming anytime soon. It's extremely frustrating for those who support them and want to run their product. ESPECIALLY when they refuse to let us know when we might be able to finally run our car.

$10 more in price than a new RX8 Gen2. Wow.

Ty has hinted that it will be soon after the worlds that it is released. It has been in testing for a year and a half so I am confident it will be very soon. Randy has also said that it will be out by the years end. I am sure the Tekin crew is busy this weekend, next week we will likely hear more.
