I have two RSX and I'll definitely get the Pro as soon as I can get one. Is it lower resistance (fet spec) than the normal RSX? I only ask as I'll be using it for mod and stock.
Someone mentioned dual mode keeping the ESC cooler but decreased punch feel. Apart from lowered drive frequency is there anything else to get the most out of stock motors (17.5)? I assume that straight sensored mode is better in stock??

Krio mentioned something:" If you run in Dual Mode instead of sensored only, you will notice a big decrease in ESC temps. The motor won't be quite as punchy, but it's a small trade off. Before the RSX, I had an RS Pro in my B44 with a 6.5. and had no problems in Dual Mode."
It was this I was thinking about. I'm already running at 1Khz etc, but thanks for the response I'll check the other settings anyway.

I am currently running a 17.5 Team Powers motor that I cannot adjust the can timing because the screw heads on the motor are stripped. Can someone explain the timing profiles on the ESC available via hotwire? I just changed it to timing profile 3 to get some more speed since I am not racing at the moment, just practicing at the track, so I don’t necessarily need to be in blinky. Also, should I put the fan back on, or should it be safe without it? Probably put it back on just to be safe. Anyways, thanks in advance!

The timing profiles add boost into the ESC IAW the specs listed below. This timing will be in addition to any static timing on your motor. You may need to add the fan to the motor; if you were at 30* motor timing you will be at 55* timing at the end of the boost program and may be making a lot of heat. When running boost the preferred setup was to lower motor static timing to account for boost advancement of the timing. Check your motor temps often to make sure you are not overheating the system.

I do have a Dremel with a cutoff wheel, so I might try that. The screws are absolutely tiny, so might be a little difficult to dremel a slot into the heads and I don’t know where to get replacement screws. Also, the motor is quite old and nothing special, so I might just get a new motor! Good excuse to get one!

Picked up the RSX Pro along with the Hotwire 3.0. Cannot seem to connect to the RSX Pro via the HW 3.0 through either Android or iOS apps. I am able to adjust my ESC settings just fine when I connect to my windows PC. Downloaded v272 software -- everything is up to date.
Anyone else having issues connecting to their new RSX Pro through the HW 3.0?
