it has gotten a bit ridiculous. i ordered 2 to try them they worked good but they have been on backorder ever since.my guess is he gets a bunch of pre orders to pay for the order. crappy buisness plan, don't think i can roll with that

Preordering would be awesome, if they just authorized the charge, and then billed on ship like most online stores i shop at.

I'm not a fan of shelling out actual cash not knowing when I'll actually receive a product because who knows how fast china will actually ship and how many people have preorders ahead of me.

My racing budget is tight, so dont have the margin to have 100s out of my pocket with no firm ETA.

I agree it's a catch 22, the batteries are great and priced right, which is why they are always out of stock and on backorder....

I totally agree with this statement. I love the price and quality of SCM LiPos but I have had a 4600 70C shorty on pre-order (and paid for) since Oct 7th.

I can promise this statement isn't correct, Danny's last order from the factory consisted of 56 boxes which each have 16 packs, now because of the popularity of the packs most were preordered, here in OZ we have the same issue, demand is high and with the Chinese holiday last month it really screwed up the ordering process from the factory and we had a bunch of sells that didn't pass quality tests so all those packs were craped, I can assure you that the factory is working overtime now on supply but they do have to be top quality to have the SMC sticker put on them.

Just randomly hit some pages 69,89,119,129 all with same issues.. some of us see the pattern some ignore it. unfortunate because i wanted to buy some more.

they had a couple of days off early in oct,next big holiday is there new year in feb

Yes that's correct, early October was the holiday that stuffed things up and it coincided with a bad batch of cells.

And yes I agree that supply doesn't meet demand on a lot more occasions than just this time but there a awesome product and a great price and trying to keep quality at 100% whilste moving the numbers is the issue.

SMC packs are WELL worth the preorder process. I have ZERO issues with waiting for the best packs out there for the best prices. It's WAY better(and smarter)than paying double for lesser quality packs and getting them a little sooner. I also could care less when SMC bills me. Why does that even matter?

Most of the packs I've purchased have been in stock. Only one saddle pack was a pre-order and that shipped far earlier than I expected.

Danny could take what comes like most places that order from the same factory and push out more numbers and profit. Danny doesn't take whatever comes, he gave them marching orders on quality and had to return a time or two and it seems like they are paying attention and catching themselves before they even send it because they know it will come back.

That actually speeds things up.

This is a stupid statement. Some of dont have the money to preorder batteries then wait along time for them why would I want to pay for something I don't have?

Like SMC Racing on Facebook..a shipment just came in today & another is expected by the end of the week. preorders ensure that you'll get a pack & it's refundable at anytime..
