Anyone having a problem with the transmitter display fluctuating voltages? I am with my 3PK and spectrum module. Toggles from 10.3 to 10.6V about 30times/sec. Only happens when the whole controller is on sending a signal, not on display mode.

Maybe this is happening with M8's and KO's?

John

i have been using my JR spektrum for nearly a month and haven't noticed what your mentioning here. i have noticed my transmitter batteries last much longer. i'll keep an eye on it thursday evening while practicing.

I'll take my spectrum module out and see if it was not correctly seated. It shouldn't do this.

help!!!!!

sorry guys if this came up b4...... don't have much time.

This happend to me just recently, Toward the end of the race when my batts starts to go down(almost dump) my receiver cuts right out...... But when it's fresh pack it's no problem.....

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PitCrew 04-06-2005 12:54 PM

Not enough juice to receiver.

Use the 4700 micropharad capacitor plugged into the receiver. It solved all my problems.

And how do I do that??????? do you have any pics of your receiver????

thanx alot for quick reply:)

About to find out.....................

I bought an M8 and Spectrum system today (along with an AMB transponder)I haven't mounted it into my EVO III yet, cause I am on vacation, but I am watching the boards on how to solve this compatibility issue. I hope I didn't buy a "bad system".........

Sorry, no pic.

Your LHS should have spare servo leads. Get one of those, or a recever battery holder to use the plug. Cut the leads to the appropriate lenght, and solder them, observing correct polarity to the capacitor. Then plug it into any available slot on your receiver, most likely the batt slot.

it stops that glitching and the turning on and off.

I have an "old" receiver, but it works just fine.

Same for me. Thanks to this capacitor, everything works fine.

Aitronics M11

I wonder if the Airtronics module will fit in the M11 when it is released? Based on the website Car Breaker posted in the Chat Lounge, it appears as though Airtronics is sticking with the same technology instead of developing their own 2.4Ghz system for the new radio.

The strangest thing happened yesterday with the second transceiver that I was about to send back to Horizon. I decided to give it one more try before mailing it in. I hooked it back up in the car, went back through the binding steps, double-checked that my transmitter was on PPM, and it decided work properly and bound itself to the transmitter module. I tested it out again and it works fine so for the time being, it escapes being mailed in to Horizon for evaluation.

you can buy a reciever cap already done up from team Much-More. its a small dime sized cap with servo type leads already attached for just this type of ituation. contact [email protected] to find out how to get one.

M8 module will not work with the M11.
The M11 has additional pins.

if the demand is there I am sure they will come up with an M11 module.

I got mine last weekend and used it for a big race at our track the very same weekend. I personally notice faster response then my previous Novak system. I'm pretty sure mine is the upgraded one since it just came out. The only real concern is when your LHS will be getting any in since they are hard to come by.
