thanks again Adam
You talked to him on the phone, and read his post, and you still couldn't figure out his name was John "Adams"? :weird:

As I said in my previous post, John is basically Spektrum.

Support

I sent my Spektrum systems and extra Rx's in over night to Horizon as I described earlier.....I was glad to have a call from John early this morning saying that he would be taking care of checking all my equipment and reprogramming where necessary. He promised that everything would work as advertised when I get the equip. back which would be by Friday (per my request) in order to race this weekend! Also, he spent time with me explaining the differences and issues that they have had with the Spektrums and I really appreciate his personal touch to customer service.

Fellow racers - My advice, if you are thinking about Spektrum, do it! Horizon is commited to this product and will be reasonable with service if you have any issues. Yes, John was at Toldeo this past weekend for the largest RC show in the country, but as you read above - he promptly returned calls and helped his cutsomers as soon as he returned!

Thanks for your support John - I am glad to be on the cutting edge with you and Horizon!

Reposted from the 3PK thread:

For what it's worth, the Futaba/Hitec module works as advertised in the Hitec Lynx 3D. Before you make jokes about the module costing more than the radio, let me say that I ordered this knowing full well I'd be getting a 3PK when the right deal came along. Until then, I'll be around for radio snobs to mock and disdain with my odd combo.

I'm planning to get one for m8. I'd like to know if it's a go since the dust has settled.

Hey the lynx is a good radio .That is what I had before I got the 3PK. Bottom line you got what you got and if someone thinks there is something wrong with it let them buy you something better. :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky:

Decided to buy another transceiver to put into another car yesterday. That did not go well at all. The transceiver did not work and I have to send it back to Horizon for repair/replacement. My original system works fine in my car but this second transceiver (which is suppose to be from the new batch) doesn't power up to bind with the transmitter module. I bypassed the switch and linked the battery directly into the transceiver and the light would just briefly flash then go dark. So, for those buying another transceiver(s): beware that you may get one that may not work properly.

TeamTazman 04-06-2005 07:23 AM

which radio?

theisgroup 04-06-2005 07:25 AM

jlock's was a 3pk, but it was a rx that was sold separate.

The Futaba 3PK. The transmitter and transceiver from the package set works fine. It is just the additional transceiver that I bought to use in another car. I will be converting my race fleet over to the system, but that will be difficult if it will be poke and hope on the individual transceiver units being sold.

I bought mine with an extra RX, both have bound okay, I am hoping both will work fine as sending the RX back to the states for replacement is gonna SERIOUSLY hike up the cost factor...

anyway, my fingers are crossed..

;)

Anyone having a problem with the transmitter display fluctuating voltages? I am with my 3PK and spectrum module. Toggles from 10.3 to 10.6V about 30times/sec. Only happens when the whole controller is on sending a signal, not on display mode.

Maybe this is happening with M8's and KO's?
