I put my Ko Spektrum on back order back in December strait from Horizon....They do sell there goods on-line. No offence to my LHS they couldn't get them as quick or at all. Still on back order. Be patient at least your not one of the guys who got there M* version and they had to return theres only to find out that the M8 version is six months back order.

I love mine.....
Just waiting till my new Yokmo car comes in to put my last receiver to good use.....

I got my KO today.

Picking it up at the hobby shop tomorrow. How long have they been out? I just found out that they were available.

Yesterday...

Keep in mind that this was yesterday, I saw two KO DSMs in the display case at Sheldon's.

FYI

Good Luck.

Just ran my Spektrum for the first time and it worked great. This was in my KO radio... just got it yesterday. As far as I can tell it didnt do anything weird or anything that it shouldnt have. I ran it on carpet in my TC, I was very worried after hearing and reading everything but it worked fine.

picked up my spektrum for my helios tonight and it doesn't work with the KO 2343 digital servo, I put my KO 2173 in and it worked fine. Has anyone else run into the same problem?

Bobby Flack 03-04-2005 08:06 PM

Matt.. I had a guy come in to the shop the other day with the same problem. He also had the 2343 servo. We hooked a capacitor to the 3rd channel on the reciever and it worked fine.

What speedo do you run? I read somewhere that some people have had problems with LRP's, something to do with the output voltage or something, i dont know for sure. Thats what the customer I helped had... his worked fine with the capacitor though.

Let me know if you figure anything out.

I posted this earlier:

Tested without capacitor:

6 Cells M8 Spektrum JR DS9411 GTX => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum KO PDS-2343FET GTX => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum KO PDS-2343FET LRP Q2 => NO WORK
4 Cells M8 Spektrum Air 94145 GTX => WORKS
4 Cells M8 Spektrum Air 94145 LRP Q2=> WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum KO PDS-2343FET LRP IPC => NO WORK
6 Cells M8 Spektrum JR DS9411 LRP IPC => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum JR Z590M LRP Q2 => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum KO PDS2123FET LRP Q2 => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum KO PDS2123FET GTX => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum JR Z270 LRP Q2 => WORKS
6 Cells M8 Spektrum HITEC HS-5925MG LRP Q2 => WORKS

The only bad combo so far is KO PDS2343FET and LRP ESC

TheTurtleMan 03-05-2005 02:10 AM

I just got my 3rd receiver today, and it was bad. Car would steer by its self. Put one of my other ones in, and It was fine.
:cry:

Yeah, I'm running a quantum and I've heard about people having problems with the BEC amperage they put out or something to that effect. I'll play around with the 2343 after this weekend to see if I can figure something out. Say hi to Bill Bridges for me, we go WAY back

Bobby,

Can you explain how to arrange the capacitor, and what size capacitor you used? Thanks for the tip!

FL Racer,
I have this info on mounting the capacitator from a few forums I follow:

------------------
I used a Novak 4700 mp capacitor and wired it to a servo plug and pluged it into the Batt/Aux slot on the receiver.

Cap acts a battery and keeps the BEC volatage up.....

I tried a smaller capacitor, but it didn't work.

Use the red and black wires. I bought a servo lead, and removed the white wire, cut the wires short, cut the leads on the cap short (for asthetics) soldered it to the cap (observing polarity + is red) I even used some shrink tube over the wires and cap leads so it looks really good. Then shoe-gooed the cap down on the chassis.

Read down. I used a novak 4700mp capacitor. I tried a smaller cap, but it didn't work. you could get one from radio shack I am sure. Just get something around 5000mp at 10v. That should do it.
----------------------

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Ciao,
Spiller
