Ok ... I need help. I have used Spekrum in all of my cars/trucks in the past and now I am setting up my T2 008 with a mirco (3500) and I am having no luck. I followed the instructions to bind to my transmitter and after 20 attempts it still isn't binded. I made about 3-4 attempts with everything like it's going to the track. Then I unplugged the fan on the GTB thinking it might be interfering. No luck. Next I unplugged the PT. Still no luck. I then unplugged the steering servo. No go. I moved away from any cellphones, tvs or anything that might be causing a problem. No luck. I do have a fully charged battery, the bind plug is in the bind (B) slot. Nothing. I have never had this problem before so not sure what to do, but this is my first adventure with the micro receiver.
Any ideas? Thanks Mark w |
ummmmm... thanks, that did the trick.:weird:
Funny how sometimes the smallest (simplest ) things skip right past you. :( Mark |
Good to hear that's all it was. For some reason that's a very common mistake with the 3500. That means others made the mistake before you did :)

tried searching around.....but found no real answer. What is the difference between the DX3 and DX3.0? I know ones newer then the other, but other then that whats so different? And why is the DX3 preferred over the DX3.0?
|
The DX3.0 is the newer radio between the two. The DX3.0 has Exponential rates and I believe the DX3.0 has 4 model memory where the DX3 is only 3. The DX3.0 also has a dual-rate override button. The DX3.0 also has a little nicer display and enhanced ergonomics too. This is all off of memory but I would suggest checking out the product pages for each.
Now if you're talking the DX3.0 VS the DX3R that's a different story. There are a number of differences between those that I can go into if that's what you mean. |

For any other purpose the DX3.0 is a superior radio. I've got both. |

I have the KO Propo Helios with the Spektrum module. Over the weekend after I turned the car and radio off, the reciever and module would unbind itself. It was intermittent. The beginning of the day it would do this, then after I re-binded it several times, it was fine the rest of the day. Anyone know whats goin on? It has the spektrum mod done to it if that matters. Iam using the SR3000 reciever.
|
Interesting, I have a similar problem with my helios/sr3000. It wont completely unbind. But after about an hour of use the car starts to glitch out. There is no problem with the components, wiring, nothing. A simple re-bind solves the problem for another hour of run time, then again the same problem. Gets frustrating.

So?? Anyone?? Maybe I need a new Spektrum Module?? |
does spektrum fix bad receivers? ive had one on my slash and just noticed if i turn left and right like crazy it will cut off??!?!? and evryone who has a slash know their is a nice water proof receiver box. my receiver has never seen dirt or oil.

Spektrum (Horizon Hobby) has a pretty good repair/replacement policy. I think they've got a handful of downloadable forms online, mail it in with a good description and they will likely send you a new one.
|
You have to send it to Horizon. Download the service sheet and give an explanation what is happening. I did this with my sr3000 as it was intermittantly glitching and losing signal for me. They couldnt duplicate the problem so they sent me a brand new sr3001. They didnt even charge me to ship it to me either.

thanks guys for the 411
