Bad HRS module?

I have been running a HRS module in my 3PK for about three years now. Last weekend at the track, I noticed that I seemed to keep losing control of the car at the same spot (about thirty feet away from the stand). It was like the receiver was losing voltage or out of range.

Yesterday, I ran a different car in my cul-de-sac and noticed the same problem. That car has a different receiver, but it is also HRS. My range is down way down on both cars all of a sudden. By deduction, it seems to be a failing module. Has anyone else run in to this? My non-HRS receivers/module seem to be fine.

i thought that a short would be consistent regardless of 4 or 6 cell.

Nope, my understanding is that's you're voltage output. Set it all the way up.

Replacement Module Antenna

I did a search of this thread and found someone else asking this question back in Dec. 2005. The only answer posted was to call the 800 number. Does anyone know where to purchase an antenna replacement? I did a google search and it showed a price from Horizon Hobby but when I go to that page.... its not to be found.:weird:

The module antennas are not sold to the general public. You need to send the module in for it to be serviced.

DX3.0 question please.

Im having a problem with my DX3.0 radio/tx losing range or bind. I have 0 problems at my local track but when I go to 2 other bigger tracks I have intermitent loss of signal at the far corner of each track. I lose power/control for a few feet/seconds or till marshalled and it comes back to life. I have fine radio voltage,no binding/bends or cut in rx wire. I rebound it and it worked fine for a short time but the glitch comes back. Does it seem like the rx or tx? Other than when it is at the farthest distance all is good. No other drivers have a problem like this and I cant figure it out. I dont understand why if I rebind it it is fine for awhile then comes back. It would seem to me like a rx but why at that point of the track all the time? Thank you for any info......

I was having the same problem (losing range) at far corner of my track. I didnt know if it was the RX or the TX so I took a gamble and sent the RX to Horizon. I described that it was intermitent also and they just replaced my SR3000 with a brand new SR3001 without charging me for shipping or anything. You will be without a RX for about 3 weeks though.

Spektrum micro receiver antenna problem

Hi

last weekend i was driving qulifying and my car died. it appears to be range related and could only be solved by replacing the receiver.

I have tried to resolder the antenan wire onto the receiver board but it did not help.
I tried to replace the antenna cable with a piece of cable but no it did not help.

Range is now down to 5meters with the old receiver.

anyone out there that has replaced the antenna?

Receiver is a DSM micro receiver:

please advice!

i used the sr3500 with spektrum pro for M11. the 5 meters is very short distance indeed.

with the ori short antenna i had no issues going 20 meters more. never was my attempt to resolder as the soldering lead to antenna is very small. u might toast some other chips.

to what i knew people had such prob send back to horizon hobby for warranty claims.

when you guys sent in your sr3000 was it still under a warranty?

Another micro pro rx question.

What is the color of the led light in the pro micro rx. Is it green or orange and does it change color if there is something wrong with the rx. My throttle works, it's my steering that is not working. My servo turns one way but not the other. I have went through all possible reason before coming here so please don't tell me what I need to try cause I tried everything all ready. It is possible that it is my radio to. I might have to send both in to get looked at. Thanks in advance for any help

Serious..I know someone is using a micro pro rx. All I need to know is what color the light is when you turn it on.
