Yes yes, my point, it is not enough to cool the motor...

Orbital,

Yeah, I think we're getting there. When you pull out the antenna tube or the antenna cover at the transmitter module, the "metallic" wire would just collapse without any support.

To put it back, you first have to pull the wire up until it is fully straightened. Next slide it in slowly into the tube until the female tube is back at the male flange. I know that we all want to be perfectionist but in this case, as long as it is not coiling inside, it should be ok.

Give it a try...

Gary, I have a pro series system for my 3PK and I am running it in a Nitro Srint Car. I want to use the same radio on another Electric car and I have purchased a SR3000HRS reciever. Will this module and reciever combination work?

Its easy to make one using a Novak cap 4700mf 16v version (or similar spec'd capacitor) and an old servo plug.

I have the large LRP worlds kit cap. Anyone know what the specs on it are? I would like to use it to remedy my spektrum problems.

- I have tried both with and without the cap. When I had the cap in the battery slot versus the accessory it seemed to fix it for a bit but when I added my brushless back it got bad again.

Does anyone know whether there's a difference in plugging the voltage protector cap into the batt/tel slot, or the 3rd channel slot??

How is the fitment on these Spektrum module on a Futaba 3PK? I have read some people commenting about a very tight fit?

minimadman2003 08-06-2006 07:34 PM

The module fits in a 3PK no problem........until you try to put the cover over the module. Depending on which model you have, a Dremmel is probably in order. I had to file away to clear for the antenna and bind button. It's still tight putting it on, but it works.

From what I have tried they work exactly the same.

I would like to make a recommendation to Spektrum.... I would like to see your RX have the ability to place the plastic antenna hold directly in the RX, so a make a counter sunk hold to place the plastic antenna in your RX.

Unfortunately, the HRS modules and receivers only work with each other. They are not backwards compatible with the original or Pro Series equipment.

Nope, it will work in any channel.

That's a great idea.

Having problems.....

I installed a micro receiver in my 1/8th buggy. Went into the parking lot to break in a motor and found the system to be shutting down when I got more than 40 ft away. It looses signal and just free rolls till it regains signal.

1. I checked the batts in the reciver. I actually match and balance the cells on a monthly basis.

2. Checked my transmitter to my old reciver and it worked great.

I'm currently thinking about replacing the reciver antenna wire with a longer one or just trade out the unit and try again.

I do not have the cap plugged in. I have Batt, Str, Thr & Transponder installed. I don't think it is a power issue. I run 2500 mah AA reciver packs and the Servos really don't pull that hard.

Any thoughts?
TEX
:weird:

Im guessing with the efforts they made to make it water resistant they would be unlikely to add anything that might compromise that. Dunno. I assume there could be some molded plastic on it for an antenna tube but that would reduce the places it might fit in a car.

bvoltz 08-08-2006 09:26 AM

My point is your could still mount it using the hole in the car, but if you have space and want to, you could just go directly from the RX box. As far as water proof, the hole that is there, can get water inside, so that should not be an issue. I hope that if they do this, they offer the top, so we could replace them. Currently I used Shoe Goo and mounted mine at a 45 angle, it works ok...
