Make sure you have the polarity on the plugs right...

Try a receiver pack...

Other than that, you've got me stumped

I have 2 problems that I need help with
1. I bought a Pro receiver for my radio, and it bound without a problem, but if I use the telemetry module with it I keep losing signal. Sometimes when I turn on the Telemetry it doesn’t link up to the radio, I then have to turn it off and back on to make it register. When I use it with the standard receiver I don’t have this problem. The new receiver seems to be fine without the telemetry module attached.

2. When I use the telemetry module. It doesn’t matter whether it is connected to the receiver or directly to the car battery, It doesn’t show more that 4.08volts, and the RPM counter is very inconsistent. When holding the car in my hand and running full speed, I register 20000RPM, but when I drive on the track it sometimes jumps to 65000 rpm, this is with a stock motor.

Thanks for the help.

Isn't the pro system doesn't support the telemetry system?

AngryAsian 07-16-2006 11:36 PM

I think that's the mini you're thinking of...

the mini doesn't support it, but the Pro does?..

Does anyone know (for certain) if you run digital servos (Futaba 9550) with the 3500 micro rx, do you still need a power cap to ensure there is correct voltage being supplied to the rx?

The pro supports telemetry. I read it just this evening on Spektrum's site.

SA_Racer, I don't know, I'll pass your question on to see if I can get an answer.

B&O and Angra Asain:
The Pro Series SR3001 receiver (the bigger one) DOES work with the telemetry modules. The only receivers that are not compatible with Telemetry are the SR3500 Micro receiver and the HRS receiver.

Dirty Dog, I am running JR 9000s and 8800s Servos in my 1/8 scale buggy and truggy along with 2 electric sedans and my Mini LST. I have yet to need to use the Voltage Protector.

thanks for the info RCGaryK. Much appreciated. I have just got mine and have not yet fully tested it properly (under racing conditions). I was just a little concerned hearing some people say varying things about the system on this thread and also another thread on RC Tech.

No sweat. And don't forget, in a nitro car, I'm using dual 9000's or dual 8800s..no worries.

If you are running a Q2 by LRP, you may need one as it does not put out 6.0v. I have one and I have to run a cap, but my sphere this runs fine without a cap...
