Just wanting to know if there are issues with plugging in a fan and a personal transponder into the one socket on the 3500 micro rx? I heard from some people that this is not to be done. Just wanted some clarification on this.

I run a MRT MX Pro esc (6v 3.0amp BEC).

I tried running a QC2 / Spektrum with a Futaba s9451 digital servo in my T2 and the receiver fail safe was kicking in periodicaly. Do I need to run a power cap that plugs into the receiver or can I connect a cap to the speedo? If I need the type that plugs into the receiver does anyone know where I can buy one with the plug already installed.

Thanks for the help

you want one that plugs into the receiver, spektrum offers one but i do not have a part number. sorry.... but you can quite easily put a plug on a esc cap and old plug.

I had the same problem with my QC2 and a Futaba 9402 last weekend. It worked perfectly until the QC2 started to heat up. It wouldn't provide enough power to hold my servo left or right, so my steering would quit (but I never lost power). After swapping receivers, I installed the Spektrum power cap and the problem went away for good.

Can't wait for the QC3 to come out so I can get full BEC!

Thanks for the help guys. I fixed the problem by reinstalling my trusty GTX, but I'm setting up a backup car and I plan to use the QC2. It's cheaper to buy the cap than a new GTX.

Thanks again

Just bought a new Pro system for my 3PK and I can not get it to stop glitching..I turn the wheel and after I stop the wheels on the car will turn 3 times and then stop.. :weird: If I put the throttle at half the motor will not hold a steady RPM..The servo and speed controller seem to be a bad combination from what I have been reading..LRP Q2, Futaba 9550. I tried several different combination all with the same results.. I used my "old" Spektrum module and went through the binding process and everything works perfect.. :flaming: So I have come to the conclusion that my Module is bad.. :flaming: :flaming: :flaming:

Sounds like you need the capacitor pluged into the receiver.
Mine did that (old system bought a couple years ago) Pluged in the cap, and everything has been smooth ever since.

Spektrum has their own cap that has a plug installed.

Its easy to make one using a Novak cap 4700mf 16v version (or similar spec'd capacitor) and an old servo plug.

Last night my car just stoppped during a practice run. After checking all the normal causes, I narrowed the problem down to my spektrum rx. I took it apart and found a 1/4" pc. of wire strand laying on the circuit board.(along with tire particles & other crap) Cleaned it all out with a toothbrush and reinstalled. Now it works perfectly again!!

Don't give up on the equipment too soon.

M8,Q2,Spektrum tx & rx

If this is true why does the the SM1000 work fine, No glitching, Same servo and the same speed controller..When I change modules (SM1001) The glitching and weird servo control happens, I'm using the same receiver (SR3001) this is why I have come to the conclusion that my Pro module is bad..Once again I have to send "stuff" back to Spektrum..I don't think I have bought anything from them that worked the first time..Spektrum SUCKS!..I do love the technology, I just don't trust the "provider"

Weird.

Maybe the module is bad. :(

Hi guy's

I've just bought a Futaba T3VC radio and I'm looking at upgrading to 2.4GHz.

Which module would you recommend? and is the receiver out yet that doesn't have an aerial wire sticking out at all?
Thanks

Help with installing the Spektrum antenna inside radio

Does anyone know where there are good instructions on how to install the transmitter antenna inside a Airtronics M11. I just blew my M8 up installing it because at first my control range was reduced dramatically when I did the mods. I was playing with it with the open circuit board on both the M8 and the module and it shorted the display system on my m8. Now I have to get a new M11 radio(good excuse) but want to install the antenna inside and don't want to have range problems besides blowing up the new radio. I know a lot of people have done it but I don't have luck with it.

Thanks in advance

good one Mr. Engineer

Thats the problem. When you think if you are careful you can do odd things to debug a problem. At least when I make a mistake, people don't fall out of the sky....lol

The just get shot down!
