So I figure someone on here might know what's going on. I have a hw sct pro with a hw 4k 4pl motor. Spec. Sr300 and an xp1015 servo. I was taking my truck of the track and noticed that the wheels where locked. So after inspection I noticed that the servo was toast. So I bought another xp1015 and hooked it up. Got all the end points set and ready to go. Walked to the track and the wheels locked and the servo started to smoke. A brand new 20min ago in the box servo. Roasted. Now in between I put in the stock losi servo and it worked just fine. A little slow lol but no issues. I have had the first xp 1015 servo over 8months in over 5 different cars and never problems. Used it with the sr300 rx most of the duration. Only had the esc/motor about 4 race days. Any help?

I once had an issue like that with mine. When I turned on the car the wheels went straight left. Mine ended up being a receiver problem.

I installed a v3.1 stock speedo and a v10 6.5 in my rb6 and I have to say this is the best combo i have tried so far. When i ordered the motor i also purchased the program box and the program box is still in the shrink wrapping. The feel was spot on, the drag brake was almost perfect for my style, and the actual brake usage was great. The only down side is that after over shooting a large jump and landing flat with the ear wrenching "THUD", the fan blade popped off. Really can say the fan was bad but it did happen. Overall, after 2 race days, I'm 100% sold on the HW stuff. We'll see how it holds up down the road but for now, this is what i'm running will all smiles. PS, i'm not a sponsored guy nor do I benefit from this review. I have tried a handful of different popular speedo's and I do honestly think this is the best so far. An indestructible fan would be my only request.

If you don't have it I would pick up the programming box as well as they are amazing and can program any setting you need pitside without a laptop!

Good Luck!
This is the combo i have in mind. Thanks for confirming that im going towards the right direction. The people in this thread are just ready always to help!

I haven't because never needed any. To much power for me as it is for my Ebuggy.

Do you feel your maxed out? And need more? Guess you could sneak some in and watch the temps

I'm no where maxed...It comes with 15* degrees stock from what I read in the manual. I was wondering if I can take it out and be ok...

We experimented with the timing and found that when turned all the way up to setting #8 it actually dropped the motor temp almost 50° from the recorded temps on setting #1. It was the exact opposite as expected but when the motor was temping 190° at setting #1 I figured we'd give it a try. By turning the timing up to #8 we could actually put more gear on the truck now if we wanted. For reference, we're running an scte 1.0 with a tekin pro4 4600 motor geared 13/40.
