Default Silver Arrow V2.0 Brushless Motor - 5.5R

I just ordered 2 of these motors : Silver Arrow V2.0 Brushless Motor - 5.5R

But I can not find a lot of specs,

does these motors have fixed timing? or adjustable? if not what fixed timing do they have?

Could i get a suggested setup for the following?
-Tight indoor carpet track
-med/high grip
-short straight 60ft ish
-2wd buggy
-13.5 motor
-323 software (v1.37 interface)
-Track laps around 12-14 seconds.

Look for good low end grunt. top end not needed. Currently have no temperature issue.

thanks

I'd try something similar to my 17.5 setup on the website.
Basically try gearing around 19/84-23/84.
Drag Brake - 5 to 15% - personal preference

other "key" settings

DRRS - 9
Boost timing 40-50 (try more later)
Turbo timing (top end related but set to around 20-30)

Set the last setting to 100 and check temps. If hot, go UP on this setting to 150 or 200 and add more boost and turbo timing. If cool go down to 50 and get more speed yet.

that's off the top of my head but if you go to the website and check the stock buggy setup sheet you should have a lot of close settings to that to start out.

Can you run the Pro Stock 2.1 with mod settings and motor?

Also, if you run 50% total brake and 15% drag/initial brake, is the drag/initial then 7.5%

I was wondering the same thing. But my thoughts were you would have the same motor limits. So I may opt for the 2.0 and put mod205 on it. I would on try the pro stk on 2wd only though.

Yes. You can go down to 5.0turn, but you would need to load 205 Mod.
Good question...not sure.

Hey Solara,

SO I got a SP GT2.1 w/fan and a Tekin 550 5.5 for my SC104x4. Whats the recommended setup? I saw the Team Drivers pdf's and there is one in there for the 5.5 in a SCTE Losi. Is that a good starter? What you thinking? I have the LCD programmer so I'm good there.

Thanks

no if you set it at 15% drag brake....thats what you get when you lift off throttle
initial brake is set to drag....then its 15% of 50
ive been setting my lcd to 100% brake then take the epa down till it just locks the tires
initial brake is at 0

mayor get my number from sassy if you ever have questions

I`m planning of getting a Speed Passion 2.1 Prostock ESC..

I will run it with an LRP 8.5T will it be a great cobo, or what is the "best" combo for that ESC, I`m not going higher then 9.5T.

thanks.

What class? You really don't want to run anything hotter than 10.5 due to the timing software that is included with the speedo. You can always reflash it (205 mod) to run hotter mod motors, but keep in mind you will also need the LCD card to do so.

Well, ran the SP GT2.1 with Tekin 5.5 550 can in my sc10 4x4 last week with great success. Finished 10min main in 3rd outta 11 trucks and the ESC ran flawlessly all night. Geared at 62/14 32p gears. Temp on esc was about 112-120ish and motor about 140ish. Ran at zero boost. 110323stock spec too. I can add boost but it was fast already.
