It's the punch of the system. 1 is a smoother take-off and 9 is the most aggressive. It still has a lot to do with your finger on the trigger but lower settings for 2wd off-road and higher numbers for 4wd and on-road are typical.

I'm starting to play with ALL the adjustmentsof my ESC (2.1 prostock) and WOW! I have the 323 stock update and I'm wondering what/how do I need to do to get blinky (no timming/boost) for raceing at the local club? Also from what I have figured out I can set up 3 profiles and switch between them. To switch do I have to change it with the pc or can I do it with the LCD box?
This brushless stuff is fun but I haven't had to think this much in a while!

Thanks for the help,
Mark

I don't run stock where there is a "no boost, no timing" rule so I leave the 323stock software in mine and just change the settings. I run a 7.5 with minimal boost and timing settings for mod and for stock I just crank everything up. This is with a buggy. for SCT I believe you might want to keep it below the max but check temps often as you experiment for your track.

Here's a question I hope someone has a definite answer to:
I recently hooked up 14g wire to the motor from the speedo and used to run 12g. Will this cause higher temps in the speedo? Or is it just the higher ambient temps of summer causing it? I can change the wires back to test but it is simpler to ask here. Does anyone know?
I was thinking that it might be possible that the smaller gauge wire won't allow the full transfer of energy from the speedo and that might cause temps to rise a little compared to when using 12g wire.
Thoughts?

But once you are going to different software, like 205, those profile will not be transfer or carrry over...but you can create the same 3 profile for 205....
Yes, you will need the LCD programmer box is upload the 508_no_timing software to your GT2 ESC in order to run the blinky mode.

Flash the 508 software to get blinky no-timing mode. (I'm assuming that since you said you have the 323 update that you know how to flash the ESC.)

Thanks for the help!!
I have the LCD box and have been changing one thing then another. I wasn't sure which software I need so this helps alot. I have been having fun but need to start to practice in blinky for the track.
Thanks again

Welcome to my world LOL. 5+ months out of the year that's what we deal with. My SP speedos have held up great, but you learn to keep an eye on motor and speedo temps. Couple of people were asking about 205 Mod. I love that software in 4wd buggy. I'm running a 6.5 and haven't been to a track where I felt like I needed boost and turbo. Great punch, super smooth, great braking.

I recently purchased a SP LPF ESC and I gotta say I LOVE IT. I'm running it with with a Novak 13.5 in my new Losi 22. It is super smooth. My RS has nothing but size on this thing. I'll be purchasing more of these in the future. I hope to try the new V3 motors as well. Great product and great price. Thanks Speed passion!

On mod with 6.5...our top driver, always stick with 205 because with hot motor like 6.5, and the track is not getting bigger, boost just don't make it better...infact, if the setup with boost is off, you will be drag down to the B or C main...
I agreed with you...205 with 6.5 can be better and easier for everyone in off road...you want more speed, gear up or faster motor....
