The batteries last just fine and should work great for those applications.
Not sure how long it will take to get them at the moment. It depends on availability.

ok well I am getting an rx8 cause I have one that went out so when I get it back I'll install it....I will continue to use the speedpassion in my 1/10th 2wd..but my question is which programming card do I need to custom set boost kicking in etc? I currently have the speed passion mutli esc program box
PN#SPESCPB01
I also have the one that came with the esc(I bought the other one thinking I'd need it...anyway how would I go about custom setting when the timing kicks in?
LMK
Thanks,
Jayson

Post which firmware you are running to get the best answer though.

to get the custom settings you need the lcd programming box which is the one that does not come with any of the combos. it will have the usb port on the side and will have come with the cable.

I know I asked this a page back or so, but could you suggest a good starting point for the following set up:
Yokomo B-max4 II (87 spur puts final drive ratio very close to b44 with 81t spur)
Speedpassion V3 6.5 turn
Speedpassion lpf 2.0 with 323 firmware
I had an older Orion 7.5 in this recently geared 18/87 and it just didn't seem to have any "snap" or top end to it. I went from no boost up to 20* and even added 10* turbo on it to see if that would wake it up. Local track has a double right out of a slow 180 and most of the 4wd's clear it fairly easily. I was having to be very precise to make it clean. As I mentioned the motor is a couple years old so I ordered the SP 6.5 today and just want a good starting point on both gearing and speedo setup if possible.

Maybe go up a couple teeth though on the pinion though with the 7.5. should be good for the 6.5
Did you check the slipper clutch?

With a 7.5 it should have been plenty fast. 6.5 should tequire very little if any boost or turbo. I recently set a guy up with a 6.5 and had nothing added. It was very fast. I run a 7.5 with about 15 boost and 20 turbo. Usually it's turned down though. Check the last setting (#15) it should be between 400 and 600 for that car/motor.

The 7.5 was an older (2-3 years old) motor and I'm having some cogging issues at very slow speeds with it, too. Hopefully it's just worn out and the new SP 6.5 will bring things to life and stop that issue as well.

Yeah, the slipper was actually too tight for my taste. The factory sends out the pre-built slipper center with several shims behind the slipper nut so you can't loosen it a whole lot. I removed some of them yesterday so I can obtain the setting I like.

Cogging could be the sensor wire or the sensor board in the motor. The gt series will run most motors sensorless with no problems if the wire pops off or something. You just lose the boost and turbo timing. with a 7.5 i have had races where the sensor wire popped off or broke and i hardly noticed. Actually, with no boost it probably helped more than hurt.
