What does this mean with my Reventon Pro 1.0: heat and voltage cutoffs are disabled, ESC shuts itself off. When I power it back on RED LED flashes with a corresponding BEEP in sync with the flashing. At this point I cannot power it off. It continues to BEEP and FLASH until I unplug the battery. Plug it back in and it seems fine. I know RED LED flash is meant to indicate voltage detection problem. But the BEEP as well?

Just found this same issue described in the on-road thread. (by rosey1990). Seems like they suspect motor compatibility but nothing really conclusive? I am running Trinity D4 8.5 fwiw.

Should I try cutting 2nd sensor wire?

Ran my car this weekend with the blue reventon pro and the SP 8.5 3.0 motor with the new stock setup downloaded to speedo, the car is great very fast and super smooth for the first 4 to 5 mins, then all throttle shuts off., i have steering no throttle also running the shorty savox servo. let it set for a minute turn back on and its good to go again, heat is disabled, is it the setup i downloaded or what?

Well as of today after many years of using SP products, acting as a sponsored driver and online support, my relationship with SP has dissolved. Good luck SP users.

It doesn't sound like the set up you have downloaded is the problem. When it does shut down are you getting any flashing lights in the ESC? I had a similar problem and the yellow light would flash pointing to a sensor problem. I found that there were 2 loose/bad pins on my motor sensor board.

It could also be associated with you LiPo low voltage cut off.

Voltage protection disabled also?

I'd look small/cheap stuff first...sensorboard on motor, sensor wire. Try a different motor just to test and see if it still shuts down. You can also try running it without the sensor wire to see what happens or replace the wire all together.

i would get a full run out of it and it coast to a stop with like a lap left, the speedo felt hot, not super hot but not just warm, i ewas running the speed passion 8.5 3.0, like brand new, only ran a few times the battery was no where near being dead 2 seperate batteries were used .

What profile you running? Mod0, Mod2, etc.

Also check the voltage and temp are disabled.
Test with 2nd motor if you can.

the new setting that just came out a few months ago.

My initial reaction is the Savox servo. Forgive me, I know that certain servos are more power hungry, and I can't recall if its Savox or Spektrum or both.

Setup shouldn't be the problem. Make sure you check BOTH of the following settings.


Heat Detection Disable
also
Low Voltage cutoff disabled as well
