Unfortunately NO. The GT 2.0 can't be upgraded to accept the Bluetooth, as the software profiles are different.

HOWEVER, the box you listed CAN be updated to work with the GT series ESCs. I myself have updated mine and it works great. allows for better tuning than the std. box.

MOmo

Awesome! Thanks for that input.

Hell I got to brag on speed passion ESC and short course 4600 kv !!!! Its very nice!!!! Never got hot!!!! ESC was fine and the motor temp was 120 at eight minutes.
Now for the dumba## question. Is the 5700kv motor faster??

OK, then, got it.

Got it. I'll send it out this afternoon. Albert Mui is the addressee, correct?

I'm looking to make my 17.5 faster. I run a Reventon R and I'm trying g to understand the timing. Or boost. Which all I see is timing can be added. My motor is at 40 mechanical what do I do with the ecs. Want to run mod class. Thanks

SamuraiJack 01-14-2015 08:10 AM

Anyone running Reventon Pro with "STO1" profile in 4wd buggy? Would like to see what settings you like. I like the feel of "MOD2" but I want reverse.

gearing b5m

Looking for a good starting point as for gearing on a b5m running 8.5t with pro esc

I hate to ask, but why not just run a mod motor? The 17.5 you can run in boost, but it will heat up and stress it so much more. It would be easier to just drop a 10.5 or something faster in the buggy. 40deg timing on a 17.5 with boost would probably heat up very quickly.

because I don't want to run a mod motor. So how does the timing or boost work.

Fair enough.

Simply put, timing and or boost will increase the RPMs of the motor at given points. I still think if you are going to run in mod a cheaper V3.0 mod motor(some can be found for $25 new) is a better option.

If you are going to run the 17.5 and try to match the speed of other running low turn modifieds you will heat the motor up much quicker. Timing, I would leave lower on the motor then just add boost. Play around with the settings by starting with the lower motor timing and low boost settings.

Always start low and adjust from there. Gearing will come into play as well if running a boosted 17.5.

Why not? I only ask because even if you can match the top speed by adding boost to a 17.5 it's never going to "drive" like a mod motor. You'll never have the bottom end torque. Jumps with short run ups will still be an issue compared to the mod motor guys.

Like Nexus said, start with low boost settings and go up from there. Being careful to watch for heat issues. Odds are as you add boost you'll need to change gearing.

I'm just curious what you have against running a mod motor?

23/81 to start

You're motor, which you didn't list, will have more affect on gearing than which esc you run.
