Might have been answered, but I didnt see it.

Is the software for the new revpro 1.1 the same for the original Rev Pro?

Really wanting one, but $$$ for 2 isn't feasable, so I may just get 2 pro v1.0.

Yes, this is the same problem we are all experiencing and it was acknowledged by SP earlier in this thread. Latest software and firmware makes no difference. As soon as you advance past 30 degrees of motor timing cogging starts. At 45 degrees of timing (the amount of timing we need to run) you need to push start the cars to get over the cogging.

We've got racers running 10.5 stadium truck and 17.5 buggy in blinky mode all with identical problems regardless of the motor brand.

Reventon R and the Pro work just fine in stock0 over 30 degrees. It seems to have something to do with amp draw or burst amps.

Anyone have a good setup for Mod 2W buggy with say a 7.5 or 8.5???

Running a Rev Pro not sure on motor yet.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by that? I've got the following three setups that all do the same thing. At 45+ degrees of timing, the cars will not get off the line unless you give them 100% throttle and even then, will hesitate and rattle until the wheels get going.

Reventon Pro + Ballistic 17.5,
Reventon Pro + MMM 17.5 (+40 board),
Reventon Pro + Thunder Power 17.5,

The batteries I am using are Nosram 5600 saddles, Protek 4300 shorty, and Nanotech 4400 shorty. Final drive in all cars is around the low 5s.

I run the Reventon Pro w/SP 8.5 V3. 81 spur/23 pinion
D/L MOD2 for smoothness. You don't want to run Hybrid Boost in offroad.
1/1
2/6
3/7
4/7
5/8
6/custom 12%
7/2
8/1

How is the reventon pro 1.1 fairing? I heard mixed reviews about durability and the ability to run 4 pole motors in the original pro. Are the new ones bullet proof like the GT pro 2.0 series?

Question:

I've been out of the hobby for over a year & I picked up a Speed Passion GT 2.1 Pro Stock in a trade. I was going to sell it to buy the Orion R10 or the LRP Flow but wanted to check to see if this esc is just as good as the Orion esc. I'll be running 17.5 buggy if that helps.

Thx...

Should be good to go, especially if doing blinky.

has anyone used a 12.8 rotor in the 17.5?

wild gopher 08-16-2013 08:24 AM

I have a reventon pro in my SC10 with an 8.5 and a Tekin Gen2 with 17.5 in my B4.2 and the SP is much smoother. I really want to test it out in my buggy with 17.5 to get a true comparison.

It is the same....if you do not need the latest the greatest, getting (2) V.1.0 is a great choice and bargain.

for the motors, are the both SPs or ?

REason I ask is that the stock Tekin Gen2 motor I believe comes with what would be the HT rotor for SP.
