Also I just ran it for a second and noticed the motor has a sorta a metallic ringing noise at full throttle... Normal?

If it's still under warranty go to the main website and fill out the RMA process.

Hey guys I am about to install a prevention pro 1.1 in a TLR scte 2.0 corr truck. I got a blaze 4600kv motor for it. How do they run?? How do u guys have them setup with the program box??

I've run that speedo. In my opinion I like all there speedos. The one tack I go to there is a guy that's helped me setting them up. I think he runs for them. His a TLR guy. And runs the 17.5 classes. Which is all about speed and smoothness. So I'd say you can't go wrong with it.

When is there 17.5 motor coming out????

I just bought a Reventon Pro 1.1 and ran it for the first time a few days ago (4WD MOD buggy). From acceleration, to brakes, I like it better than the Tekin RS Gen 2 in my 2WD car, and I like it better than the Tekin RX8 in my 1/8 buggy which I really like. Figuring out the software and firmware and how to get it into the ESC and program box required an hour of toggling around and mild irritation. My main issue there was getting the right software version into the ESC to get reverse to work. Once I got that part figured out and got all of my settings to how I like them, it was beauty. The application you load on your computer to communicate with the ESC could use a bit of work and isn't as intuitive as the Tekin Hotwire software, but it gets the info into the ESC and gets the job done for likely 95% of the users out there.

The ESC has a small footprint for as powerful as it is and looks really well built. Aesthetically, it is awesome. I was so happy it performed as well as it did, making it a hell of a deal for how well it performs. It fills a niche between Trackstar Hobbyking stuff, and high dollar Tekin or Orion stuff. For my tastes, it actually works better than the high dollar stuff I currently have though.

Haven't checked in awhile but does the newest version of Apple ios work with the wireless connection using the Reventon Pro?

Nope. Just like Tekin, it is Droid only. The guys at Tekin have said it is a major @#$#% to get Apple to play nicely with this stuff.

Just got a reventon pro in trade and have a couple questions.whats the difference in mine and the 1.1,also what firmware would be good to use in 2wd and 4wd mod buggy also do I need a fan installed.thanks

According to Speed Passion the 1.1 has:
-upgraded MOSFET
-internal resistance <0.0002ohm
-improved braking
-lower 30mm fan

I have both and can't tell the difference other than the size of the fan.

Install MOD 2 program for mod buggies and only need to run a fan on the 4wd.

Hey S.TRIPP77, I'm running a Revention Pro 1.1 in my TLR SCTE-TEN 2.0. With a Blaze 5700 KV motor. I had no problems with it. I had it in my TLR for a year now.

I run the latest software from Speed Passion website. Speed Passion Revention PC interface V1.1.0.25

I have modified 2 setup in my ESC.

There is a V3 and V3 MMM 17.5 currently out. The V4s will not be out until Spring or sooner.


Mainly the FETs are better. I rarely, almost never, see anyone running a fan for 2WD. Indoors you can get away with no fan as well in the wheeler. Some do run a fan, but depending on the conditions you won't always need it.

I just got a speed passion pro esc and I'm having trouble getting the esc/program box to connect to the PC interface. I loaded the software a couple times and when I hook it up to my PC nothing happens, what am I doing wrong?

Did you download speedpassionUSBport? That might be your problem there.
