I have a question about some of the settings having not used speed passion before.

Dynamic Multi Timing System, is this my boost?

Digital Racing Response System, is this my punch?

Running an 8.5 with Mod2 firmware. What should I set to these values? Currently I am Level 7 for DRRS and zero for DMTS.

Thanks.

Default Manual

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I am trying ot get a copy of the Reventon Pro manual. I went to the speed passion website. I can get the Japanese version to download (unfortunately cannot read it), but the English version starts to download and then I get an error that Acrobat is closing down. I have tried it several times/days and on different computers with no luck.

Anyone know where else I might find the manual? Thanks.

Interesting. . . this is the same link. I still get the error. Every other manual on that site (I downloaded the LED/LCD box manual) works no problems. This one give me an error. I have one other computer to try, I will try that one tonight.

Thanks.

Are you using a tablet or smart phone? I had the same problem this weekend on my iPhone & iPad, but I just brought it up with that link on a real computer with no problem.

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy the Reventon S combo for my Dex210 since the ESC that comes with the RTR does not have Reverse... would the S be a strong enough model as it only good for 40 amps or should I look for a different combo?

Thanks

That depends on the motor you want to run. If you want to run a 17.5, yes. If you want to run a 6.5, no. Iirc, the pro has a 3.5t limit, the r has a 6.5t limit, & the s has a 10.5t limit. I could be wrong on the actual #'s, but, I believe they are close.

I just purchased a Reventon Pro for my SC10 to run mod 8.5. Are there any tips or tricks for a new setup? I have never run SP products but I am anxious to see what they can do.

just got my Reventon Pro 17.5R 3.0 combo with LCD card and was wondering if it will need to be updated. The reason I ask is that I do not have windows and am wondering if I will need to update before I can run this thing. No idea when or if I can get on a PC to download and install software. If I cannot update it am I screwed and should just sell it?

Are you pairing a SP motor to the Rev pro, or different brand?

Previous posts have discussed some complications using boost in conjunction with 4pole motors of other makes ( Tekin, etc). If you are using 4pole, stick to motor timing and slowly apply boost if at all. Often the motors don't need it.

I would read back about 20 or 30 pages and see what people have done. Many like the rev pro in SC. Several of us use the older GT series with excellent results.

Novak 8.5 for now. I am half tempted to pick up an SP 8.5 because of price. Are they any good compared to the competitors?

I can't do a direct comparison to a novak, but I can to reedy & LRP. I would describe the SP as smoother than either, on par w/ the LRP for both torque & speed, but MUCH cooler than the LRP. The reedy felt like it had a little on the top end, but that may be due to more torque (the track was dusty the day I ran a reedy, so I wasn't getting a real feeling for the low end of the motor).

Excluding $ from my decision, I prefer the reedy, but I would rather buy 3 SP v3's or 2 mmm's each with a different turn when I include $ in the decision.

They are really great. I just picked up a 8.5 and 7.5. Don't let the price fool you.

I have the 8.5 in my Schumacher Cougar SVR and the 7.5 in my Schumacher CAT K1. Both cars are fantastic and I'm just as fast as the other guys.

Thanks for the references. I got my Reventon Pro in the mail yesterday and was able to get it hooked up the PC and updated. It seems very straight forward. I loaded the mod2 software and will give it a try this evening.
