Anyone running the Reventon R in a B44.x car? Will be staying with around a 8.5T motor.

The 7.5L is in my T4 mod truck
The 8.5R will be in my SC10 mod CORR
Smaller track with one good straight and lots of turns.

I do know about the potential for having to cut the temp wire.
Both are great esc's Have them both and use them regularly no problems at all.

I have a question about the revention r vs s series esc's I am thinking about getting back into 2wd shortcourse at my local track. They have two separate classes boosted and blinky classes both with a 17.5 rule. I would like to run in the boosted class though. I used to run a hobbywing 60a with a ballistic 17.5 and done very well. I was looking at the revention s series because of the price factor and I will only be running a 17.5 and it looks awesome. My question is, is boost supported on the s series or would I have to get the revention r. If boost is supported is it ajustable in 1 degree increments like the hobbywing or is there just preset values to choose from. I would probably be using the lcd box to program it with. Also how will the speedpassion v3 motor compare to the ballistic 17.5

Pretty sure no boost on the S.... Spend the extra on the R it's worth it.

looking here:

I get the impression that you would want the Reventon R .

Quick responses awesome, ok now how does the hobbywing 60a compare to the revention r. Has anyone ran both? I am probably going to run the SP V3 motor and if the revention r is just as adjustable as the hobbywing I had I will just get the matching set.

The Hobbywing has an excellent track record and actually was the OEM producer for the Speed passion GT line. The Reventon Line Is BRAND new from Speed passion or at least a different OEM factory then Hobbywing but it still seems to be good quality. But yes the Hobbywing xerun 60a and the Reventon are comparable in terms of esc adjustability.

I know this has been talked about in here, but I would like to make sure. Can you run a 550 4.5-5.5 with a reventon pro, or just a gt2? And neither can run a pro4(even though a couple people are)

Is there any word on the new 1/8 scale stuff from Speedpassion?

I haven't heard that the GT2.0 Pro doesn't run Pro4 motors. If I recall correctly, it was suggested for me to just keep using my GT2.0 Pros since the Reventon Pro supposely can't do Pro4 motors.

My buddy runs a Reventon Pro with a Tekin SCX 550 4.5, no issues.

I am curious to see the new 1/8 stuff from speed passion as well, especially how it handles all the 4 pole or more 1/8 motors that are common in the class.

was thinking of trying the Silver Arrow V2 with a Pro4 motor on 2S, 2S is an option in the drop down for the software and I have heard of people doing it but since the GT2.0 Pro does it so well, just haven't found the need (run it with a Pro4 4600kv in a Tekno SCT410, handles it no sweat)

Also interested if it will be able to do 2S voltage and handle 4 Pole 540 and 550 motors too. Seems a nice opportunity to make an ESC that is robust enough to handle the 4x4 SCT market here that is 2S with 4 Pole motors being common, as well as the 1/8 scene on 4S - 6S.

Part of me thought that was what the Silver Arrow V3 was supposed to do.
