SPeed Passion,

Any word on your RAT radio system, like pics, release date, ballpark fo pricing. Be kinda cool to use the built in functions fo the radio with the reventon ESC's liek the site says?

Thanks

Are the 3.0 MMM motors, specifically the 17.5, built with timing already in the motor, or does the board give the total timing starting from 0? Also, what's the highest timing board that will fit in this particular motor?

There is timing built in. When figuring out timing you add the sensor board timing to the built in timing. I have to look at my stuff/notes at home to remember what the MMM 17.5 have in built in timing.

You could go as high as they offer in sensor boards. Heat because a factor as you go higher.

I believe they come with 10 degrees. So the range of adjustment is 10 to 20 degrees.

+1, make sense since the timing boards included are red ones which are +10, and the can says 11 -> 20

Speed Passion Quality and Customer Service

I noticed recently some posts questioning the quality of Speed Passion products and their customer service. My sons and I returned to racing after a 15 year hiatus. We initially started using teki_ because back in the day they were the best esc. We had nothing but problems with 5 RS's and 2 RS Pros. Customer service from them was curt at best. We switched to Speed Passion in the spring of last year based on the recommendations of local drivers and our LHS. We have never had any issues with the 2 GT2.0 pros or our 3 Reventon pros. Power application is very smooth and setting changes are a breeze, especially with the wireless module mounted IN the car. I had a mix up on a recent order from Speed Passion. They corrected it immediately, shipped the correct product the next day, and even included a return shipping label. Speed Passion has earned 3 loyal customers in us, and we always recommend thier products

I think that the motors has 12 degrees built into the motors. So it would be 12 degrees + what ever timing you set with the boards.
In offroad I've been using the red boards and then adding some timing through the mod2 firmware.

Are you running the Apple one? If so, PLEASE bring it to Monday's practice. I'm having some issues with it.

Does anyone know how much a Reventon R costs directly from Speed Passion? The site says "Restock Soon" but it doesn't have a price like most of the other products. I see A main hobbies has them back in stock, but was wondering if that price was on par or if was cheaper direct.

When I bought Direct I think the price was like 62.00 and then about 7.00 for shipping. Ended up being around 70 shipped for them direct. I would go ahead and pick up one from A-main though as they have been "Restocking Soon" for quite a while.

SP folks,

Sent you folks a few PM's about my wifi module and diagnosis. Getting frustrated waiting. Been a few days. Thinking of heading into my LHS to see if they'll swap it or something.
