I just wanted to drop a kudos to Speed Passion. After running Castle, LRP, Tekin, Orion, and now Speed Passion, I have to say that my Reventon Pro/Competition V3 is the best setup I've used. Smooth, fast, and reliable.
Great job guys! |

I got mod 428 on mine. Went back and forth between stock and mod to see what exactly was turned on and off.
I am actually curious how strong is the GT2.1 Pro stocks in comparison to the GT2.0 Pros. with the right software and fan added, can these push around a 4x4 SCT? |

I thought that the 323 software was the best for mod. Did I miss the 428 as the newest/better option? This might be another option for you as I thought it was supposed to be better than the 205mod. Mark |
cool. thanks for the heads up. Pretty much run all GT2.0 Pros other than the pro stock I got in cheap. works well in the 2wd buggy so will keep it there lol
428 from what I can tell seemed very similar to 323, with a bit better temps. Pretty much used the stock stuff for awhile in 4x4 SCT, just configured as needed. Run all mod software now in applicable vehicles since the timing settings in stock I wasn't using are by default greyed out in the mod software. Main benefit I found was the turbo timing at WOT. using 5 degrees of it really work my Pro4 motor up and I could gear down and still get the top end I need. Temps dropped too. |
When using the wifi module I see that you can change the firmware (ie: from no-timing, to mod..etc), but I only have one option which is mod- how to I get to the rest of the firmware options to switch to them?

Is there a link to instructions and software to update the lcd boxes for the reventon pro's

GT2.1 can run with mod motor...5.5T limit. However, it is pushing it. It will never performs as good as the PRO. There is a reason we made these 2 ESC because they are different. Did you use a fan the GT2.1..? Also, what software are you running on the GT2.1? You are SO NOT going to run boost on that 4 pole motor with your Gt2.1, it will not work....not got a CONCRETE BLOCK RC CAR like the Losi SCTE. |
Thanks for the info. Yeah, I was more curious than anything else. In general when 2.0 Pros come up for sale, I pick them up as the ESC is that good. Wouldn't mind the Reventon Pro but not being able to run 4 pole motors is a no-no for me.
I am hopeful that when they make the 1/8 scale version, they really consider letting the ESC be ran on 2S. This is pretty much what all the other companies are doing now, and take nothing away from the Reventon Pro in other usage than 1/10 4x4 SCT, which is really just a glorified 1/8 buggy in a lot of cases. |

when assembling I put the front of the motor on the rotor and then turn the motor over and push the end of the rotor on the bench while fitting the back end on. Then move into position, turn the ends and insert the screws. they go together very easily this way.
Thanks! |

J.P. Richards runs with the big dogs at the CRCRC Midwest Champs! http://teamspeedpassion.com/wp-conte...rcrcdustin.jpg http://teamspeedpassion.com/2013/01/...championships/ If you register with Team Speed Passion they said they will be emailing registered members early info on product releases and ESC setup sheets from team drivers. |
Yes. I was at that race. He is a great guy and his brothers. They all tried to help me with my problem of changing the firmware but couldn't get it either.
