Hi guys, I have a reventon S with a 13.5t brushless motor (with 30 degrees of timing) for my touring car.

I'm just a bit confused with the DMTS (dynamic multi timing system) part. How would I know which setting would be best and most efficient for touring (asphalt track with a 50m long straight)

Also, would it be advisable to keep the Digital Racing Response System - (DRRS) to maximum level 9 or should I keep it at the recommended 5 setting?

thanks in advance!

What percentage of the total they have sold is that?

I just sent mine in. Randomly shuts power off to the motor... I have tried every adjustment to try and stop it from occuring....No luck. Hopefully they have resolved the issue.

What kind of a question is that I have no clue! Here is one for you. What percentage of people running the Reventon are following this thread?

I had the same issue. Tried EVERYTHING. Just send it in hope you get it back within a decent time frame.

Just thinking if your shop has sold 10 and sent 3 in, that would be 30% DOA rate. Just wondering what chances are mine is bad. I ran one 3 heats and a main last week plus some practice and seems fine. Do they work for a while then start doing it?

GT2.1pro will run stock blinky/508 no timing. Also will run the 428 boosted firmware. I wouldn't run more than a 7.5 in boosted. GT2.0pro is the unlimited esc.

Id get a reventon s for much cheaper or the citrix

Wildcat1971 11-13-2012 06:29 PM

ok, which reventon is good for stock and mild mod? like 10.5 +

Depending on the track you go to you can try lowering the DRRS first to say 6 or 7. Then if your setup is working well and traction allows for it go up incrementally. This increases your "punch".

1 shop? There are probably a massive amount of people who own SP products who don't even use RCTech. So gauging one store isn't fair.

From a statistical standpoint what if my hobby shop stocked 5 and all 5 worked awesome :P

In any case, SP has always been more than willing to help people if they can.

GT Pro 2.0, GT 2.1 Pro, LPF, etc. Are you just looking at it in terms of a budget? The Reventon S is a great ESC and lower priced. Either way you can't go wrong. A good number of people are racing GTs still including myself in one of my SC10s.

Do you have a price point or some other requirement?

Any of the Reventons can run that mod and stock motors. The Pro of course is top dog, but also more expensive.

I cant find the motor limits on the SP website for the R and S motors. 70 amp for the R and 40 amp for the S. I have a 10.5 in my kids sc10. so trying to pick the correct one.

They should both work as the S is rated to 10.5 but I would go for the R to have a little more margin.

ok, it looks like they are out of US stock. Will need to wait I guess. How is the warrenty/support?
