Yes definitely from the top-post side. If you tried from the bottom you’d likely ruin the factory solder and cook the board before enough heat got across to solder the wires to the post.

What setting would you guys suggest for the esc with a tekin 10.5 motor? Gonna be running on a indoor clay track medium sized. Any help would be great.
You must run the cap. You'll damage the ESC if you don't run the cap.

Does this work on apple at all or do we have to wait for the wifi module to be available?

Stock class is 13.5T no timing on esc, but static timing on motor allowed.

So im looking to buy a new motor and i narrowed down the choice to the v3 competition or the MMM.

looking at the stats alone the MMM looks to be faster with the higher KV, but it also says in the description that it is made for on road.

Please explain the pros and cons of each motor to me

thanks
Bump!

Really? No one have ANY experience with this?

You might want to try the V3.0 in a 7.5 or 8.5. They have less holes so less dirt can get in.

The MMM is an excellent motor, but not offered at this time in 7.5 or 8.5T.

Allow me to answer...

The reason MMM was not widely used becasue the motor turn of MMM is design for ON ROAD USE...that does not mean the MOTOR is not capable to be used on off road. MMM 17.5 along with the silver red rotor is heavily used on blinky class in off road such as SCT and buggy.

If you are running it on buggy in MOD....V3 is the better choice because the 7.5 and 8.5 motor can does not have the vent holes like the other turn. They are heavily used for MOD buggy....and with the boost software, they are more then enough power for any track.

MMM is more fit for the blinky mode with 17.5 or 13.5 depends on your country's spec.........if you are running it on 13.5 or 17.5 or 21.5..MMM is your better choice. Otherwise, V3 is still the big off road favor.

I recently switched from a Novak 13.5T to a 13.5 MMM in my Losi 22. I had to go down 3 teeth on the pinion to get the motor temps in check... Is this normal?

Yes...I cannot tell from NOVAK but I am sure you will NOT going to use the same timing and gearing compare to NOVAK to achieve the same result...sometime you have to gear down sometime you have to gear up, and sometime you have to adjust the timing.

minor question: I thought the motors came with end bell caps? The pictures had it featured. Not a big deal but, would have been cool to get one.

Was this for an Ultra sportsman or Cirtix slotless? If so they shipped in the past with them, but it was a rolling change to not include them.
