The only issue I see with it is that it requires more stock... But honestly I'd pay an extra $10 or so to buy one with my choice of nonstock rotor installed.

yeah, hopefully they are considering it. Could even just do say the 17.5 motor and call it good for a torque versus non torque offering.

I plan on ordering either a 12.5 or the 13mm rotor for my 17.5, was told a torque based rotor is better when running on a smallish carpet track in on road..

I am running a 12.3 in my 2wd and it tames the hit on a 8.5. Makes it more controlable down low on a low bite track.

Also, running a 12.5 in tc with a 17.5 motor. Since i bought both i just swapped the rotors .

Just purchased my first Viper by the recommendation of Cain. VTX10R and a VTS 8.5 for my DEX210. Everything else I have it tekin but wanted to try something different and I really like the idea of having a programmer as nothing I have is andriod to work with the tekin hotwire in the field. Excited to get it and try it out.

Nice choice! The hand held programmer is great. I'm so much more willing to try different settings because of it. You'll love Viper stuff.

If it has A64 software you can change motor direction with the easy link, if I remember correctly.

You should still update the esc if it doesn't have the A64 software even if the diffs are in incorrectly. A64 software is just so much better than previous versions. If you have the pc link it's easy to do from the Viper site. To get to the motor rotation you need to go into the change settings part of the easy link. then down to the miscellaneous section and hit ok, the motor rotation is in there.

So pleased with my Viper purchase. I was so impressed, I found another lightly used combo and bought it too ! My question is I've read where some had suggested using a much higher C rating lipo battery. Is there a brand and or C rating I should be looking at ? It's for the Viper Copperhead VX4 4500 kv combo. Thanks y'all.
