Probably not until we release the 2015 design shirt.

After I upgrade my firmware ide like to try some boost. On vipers page they say you need to know what your doing to avoid damage. I seen the formulas for the start and end rpm but looking for some pointers on where I should start with boost. I have a 8.5t viper vtx combo in a sc10. Need to double check my gearing though.
Pretty sure I answered you question via email - sound just like the one I got in email. If its not you for some reason -- just send me a PM and I will answer it.

Will a VST 8.5t run sensorless with a Copperhead R esc?

Thanks, good to know. I have an Orion VST 6.5t that runs with the Copperhead R but is just a little too overpowering. I guess I will get something different.

You can run any motor on a sensorless speed control. But for a sensored speed control - it has to be sensored.

You can run any motor on the Copperhead esc, as long as the amp draw does not spike too high.

The VST 8.5 motor would run on a Copperhead R speed control - might not be as smooth as it would on a sensored esc, but it would run.

just wanted to say thanks for the Viper team, in particular Nick and Barbara for working with me through my trade in return as well as further purchases.

I liked the service provided enough that I purchased more products and plan to have viper gear in the vehicles

Thanks again!

I have ordered all new motors for the 2015 season as well. It looks like my new 10th scale motors will be here today.

pretty much the only one I didn't order new stuff for was the 1/10. since mod is popular, I figure the viper VSTs I got here will do the job, if stock took off though, would definitely give it a look.

I am trying to decide between the VTX10 BE and VTX10R BE for my 2wd Buggy and 2wd Short Course truck. I am planning on running a 8.5t motor in both and was wondering if anyone could share the pros and cons between the two.

The VTX10 is lighter (56g vs 75g), cheaper and handles a 6.5t motor. However, I wasn't sure if there are any additional features for the VTX10R that I am missing.

So I wanted to toss out the question and see what everyone is running and what you guys think.

Thanks,
