Fan Kit
 

Hello guys.
I have the Viper VTX10 / 8.5 turn sensored motor combo in my 22-4.
I went through 2 fan kits so far. The fan unit breaks off its plastic mount on the frame. My question is ,can I trim the aluminum fan mount to get the fan on top of the esc or at least closer to the ESC?
Are there any pics in this thread of a properly installed fan kit on a VTX10 ?
I had to trim the body around the fan mount so when I am marshaled during a race I believe the marshals might grab the car and put their thumb throu the fan while flipping it over. Its either that or hard landing impacts that break the fan mount. How can I fix this?

I buy a combo in Amain vtx10R is VST 6.5T for my YOKOMO MAX4 B-III , servo xpert LP 3401 et accu shorty nano tech turnigy 4200 (2S).

The controller will not turn overnight for no apparent reason :(

I had to participate in a race tomorrow, so I check a few settings and property at the time of the switch nothing happens, yet I do everything normally.

I have another vtx10 combos vst 8.5T on my durango DEX210 for 2 years and I never was faced with this problem.

An idea may be because I really do not know what to do :(

Well reflashed it again. every time I hook it up says update available I update to a64 but still says update available did it twice ran 3 heats with no problem.

the controller does not light even for flashing,
he was already the a64 firmware

Nico - biggest thing you can check on your end in a no power situation is the connections to the battery and the battery itself. Aside from that all possibilities are internal. If under warranty period, can be returned to us for warranty review.

Nick, i had a interesteing thing happen this weekend with my vt8 system and i am wondering if it may have been the Th profile frequency?

I bumped mine from 1900htx to the 2200htx (i believe this is what it was) because a buddy was wanting to try my car and the track layout was green. In the 10 min main 2 of the motor wires unsoldered and it got up to 220*

I have never seen the motor get over 165* when i was running could this have been a result of the different drive frequency? is there certain ranges that perform better for the different sized motors.

The good news is i do not believe it hurt the motor as it still has a good pop between with the rotor. However, I will continue to keep an eye on it.

Rob - its possible -- too high or too low a throttle freq can add extra strain to motor making it run hot. Next time you run it, after a minute or two stop and feel the motor wires, they should all be the same temp, if one is higher than the others it might mean there is an internal short.

Unfortunately Nico is having an issue (we'll take care of him!!). But he sent me a picture of his Viper powered Yokomo with Xpert servo. WOW!! I bet Lee Martin is a little jealous now. :cool:

Ok, I will do that. I have also gone back to the setting I knew were not an issues as I would rather play it on the safe side and I know the original settings worked for me. Thanks.

I do from my controller still under warranty, and its allow me to see if the service after sale viper rc is reactive for us European

Got my new turbo fan in today for my VTX these things spin up sounds
like it's ready for take off....:) losi 4x4 ready for take off.

Huge shout out to our main man Lee Martin for his TQ at the European Championships!!!

He won A1, should have one A2, and got robbed in A3 (we have all had those types of run). 2nd overall was a great accomplishment. Viper VTX10R Black Edition speed control and Xpert SM-5501 servo giving him the control he needs on that difficult low traction surface in Sweden.

Is my VTX10 Black Edition going to work ok in my wheeler if I run like a 8.5 or 10.5 maybe even 13.5 boosted motor? Or should I buy a VTX10R?

I have ran a 6.5 in my VTX10be before, no issues. I normally run a 7.5 with the high torque rotor in my SCT with the VTX10be
