Then I did the same thing to my tekno truck same 1/8 esc vtx8 and it calibrate.
-Try different model on your radio?
-Try same model you calibrated your tekno on?

You can always send it in, just hate when someone sends something in and we can't find anything wrong with it. Just trying to make sure.

Maybe you should see if the backorders are open on the shop site

Have a budget 4 pole 4800kv seemed a little overkill on the med track and is also undependable (shabby bearings keep going). The ballistic is rated 5k per kv so should I go with the higher or just a little more gear in the lower kv (slippery tracks for the most part). The large track has a 3/4 oval for the straightaway (its big). Thanks
4500 is your using the word big to describe the track. 4000 would be more for smaller indoor tracks.

I have been running a 4500 copperhead combo in my ten scte and seems I can not keep my temps down I am currently running a 15 tooth pinion with stock spur and yesterday after the 6 min main my motor temps where reading 185! I really don't want to drop pinion size again. But I am really taxing this motor, I have had esc overheat kick in twice before dropping my pinion down. This is the second motor as a warranty replacement . I never had these issues prior to that could this motor be less efficient ? Or will I need to move up to the vf4/vtx8 to get decent run times? Thanks

I should also mention that both esc overheats happened after a crash, unread somewhere in the forums that an arc from the bullet connectors could cause the system to read esc overheat , is this the case ? Also would any of the new high voltage fans run better on my esc? Mine will sometimes hang up durring start up.

Where are your settings at? Like punch, start power and timing? I usually never run any of these over 5.

Also, what type of track and how big? A 15 tooth for an SCTE would imply a pretty big track. I don't ever gear to a 15 with my SCTE.

Just picked up a vtx8 for my sct410. Trying to figure out if I need the PC link for anything other than updating the firmware on the esc. I have the progauge and hoping I can get to all the settings. My friend has the link so figuring I could just use his for updating. Thx for any info.

Yup, you don't really need the link for anything other than updating unless you want to be able to save out and/or update setups to your computer. Having a buddy with one of these is NICE....
