Ok so I had a question about that. Are there differences in the profiles that can't be changed? Like if I made all of the settings for every profile identical would the ESC actually perform differently for each profile?
If that is the case can you say what the differences are? At least in generalities. |

Thanks. Resoldered the wires already. And i have the a55 version. He was a very warm for in combo with a 5.5t and a smoked smell. Bit that could also come from the motor. Soldered on anther motor CORRECTLY and that one was making little shocks but can't turn around. Maybe something burned? Or isn't that possbile?

The motor temp cut off is a little low. The measurement is done internally on the rotor. Typically we can see a 50-70 degree difference between internal and external temperatures. Its possible its just getting to the point where the system want to shut down because of the heat and it doesn't. I typically run 220-240 for my motor cut off. We always still recommend measuring with a temp gun from time to time to verify.

2100 is a lot of motor for a buggy. It's more along the lines of a truggy motor. I run a 1900 outdoors on some larger tracks and it's plenty.

I see there is a update for the VTX8 (A64). Is it a good improvement? Is it a must have or.... Haven't been around for a while doing a huge home improvement project but I am finally getting done and getting ready for the season. Thanks. Using it a SC10 4x4

I was running a 1900kv VF8/VTX8 in my EB48 tonight and it hit the motor temp cut off at 10 mins. I raised the cut off to 210 and lowered the forward power to 90% and got to 13 mins. It was about 60 degrees at an indoor track. I am surprised to see it hit those temps. My esc has A64 on profile 1. Brake strength 90%, brake pwm 16000. Throttle pwm 12000, punch 80%. Forward power 90%. Motor temp cut off 210 degrees. Also, using SMC 70c 6500mah 4s batteries. 16t pinion 44t spur. My drivetrain spins freely. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this motor is getting hot?

Try dropping a tooth or two.. Could be over geared

you're '210' is closer to 140-150. The ESC reads the temps from the sensor board (internal). When everyone refers to temping the motor, they are usually referring to external temps. Last season my 8th scale would be around 150-160 depending on the day.
One of the best decisions I did make was to put a heat sink with a fan on the motor. I saw almost a 30 deg drop in temps  |
