Just put a viper copperhead vx4r.45 with esc set up In my sons scte. Really nice set up. This thing does a good job keeping up with my tekin pro4hd on a tight track.
For $120 bucks brand new you can't beat it for the price. It is a sensorless set up, so for those of you that absolutely need a sensored setup it's not for you.

I've updated my VTX10R BE to A64, all seemed to go well and the V Link software appears to be slick and performs well without any glitches.
I have renamed two profiles, one dry and one wet so that I can quickly change the settings by switching profiles. When I checked the ESC with the ProGauge it still said Profile 1 and Profile 2, is this correct or haven't I loaded the profiles correctly?
Another question, I'm running a 8.5T Thunder Power motor but can't find any mention of what KV it is, if I wanted to run a small amount of boost and use the auto calculate function on the software does anyone know what sort of KV this motor is?

youwish16- send it in and we will take a look at it. Pretty strange -- you going over crazy jumps like they have at PNB? Really, send it in to us, we will look at it - the can does press fit there, only saw 1 similar failure in 10 months of testing the motor. Only the 3-4 report issue with the new motor. We'll be glad to go over it when it arrives.
Badger5 - the CPU in the VTX esc is not programmed to recognize the name applied in the VLink. That is more for the computer based program.
As for the boost on the 8.5 -- generally not something that many use. Gear up or add little physical timing on the motor if needed. Even our top level drivers do not use boost when running off road. PM me if you have more questions.

Had a vst4.5xl. Not sure what's wrong with the motor sensor port but it cooked 2 of my esc's. Called them and they wouldn't do anything for me since it was out of warranty. Bought a few months ago but never used the thing since its winter. That will teach me to buy things before im ready to use them. Suffice to say i wont be buying any more viper products.

Anyways, it is on its way via USPS.

2) warranty clearly states 180 days from the date of purchase
2a) a replacement is sensor is $14.99, if its out of warranty and not working.
3) can you PM me with the details of who you spoke with and when you called so I can check my call logs who answered, because I get all the technical calls here at the office and have not spoke to anyone that I remember talking about a sensor damaging 2 speed controls. You can also feel free to call me at 866-206-8558, choose the option for Tech Support.
Thanks for any info on the topic.
Hey guys,
Last race, I did 3 laps with my new Viper VTX10R BE. Did a big jump and landed bad
Had no motor reaction anymore, nothing. I could steer, but had no motor. The leds on the V-port where al Alrright, just shining like they have to, all normal. Changed sensorlead, changed motor, nothing.
is my esc really broken? How is this possible?
The BEC was set @7V with a Savox 1258TG and a Spektrum receiver, is that the fault? Voltage cut-off @6V
Hope you have a solution, they are to exspensive to just throw away
