Depends how "hard" you hit the cut off. If there is a big spike or drop in voltage, it will shut off. If its getting really close to cut off, but not quite, it could stutter slightly or even slow down power - because its trying to protect the circuit.

Interesting comments about the capacitors -- guess I don't land hard enough

That has to be a pretty big thump, or several thumps - those things are soldered on pretty good (if you ever tried to get one off...)

The one I saw had already been damaged from getting caught in the drive shaft. Then the force from landing was causing the previous damage to cause problems.

It was overheating...After running 4-5 more batterys through it, im sure the voltage is not the issue. The batt voltage just threw me for a loop.

It has overheated a couple times now. I am geared 13/54 on my slash and I dont want to gear down but threw a 12t pinion in. I also reduced punch to 2 and starting power to 2. The top end really suffered so I upped the timing and it seems to be running ok. I was only able to overheat it once by going WOT for 45sec -1 min.
I will have to change out my electronics to suit my driving style on a 3s setup.

i got to hand it to nick.. I just started following this thread about 2 weeks ago and he is really on top of it.. Hats of to you nick, very impressive and makes me look forward to running the viper line up. Placing my order tomorrow at like 4am when my electronic funding hits.. lol.
hustins and medina are you guys running the goshen race? Trying to get a 2wd mod sc class going. the surface is mostly very low cut grass so a couple guys who have run the viper equipment may come in handy as heat becomes a issue with any esc and motor combo.

I heard about 2 weeks. It is worth the wait. I am waiting for my 2nd one to put in my new Ebuggy. The one in my SC8 is so smooth.

Nick will chime in when he has a better idea of when they will be in stock.

Lol. totally my fault Nick. I did not have is zip tied properly. the new Losi 4 by 4 is much longer for the sensor wire and I did a quick fix until I got a new one.

I have a couple vtx 10s that are experiencing the same issues. One is a warrenty replacement. After landing a jump they reboot. This usually only happens once a day and the first time on the track. But a couple times it has cost me a race. Any ideas of what it could be? Also fyi this is not always after a hard landing sometimes even over something like a stepdown it will happen. Although it has happened after hard landings as well.

I would be checking your battery connections and your sensor wire.
Replacing the latter fixed my reboot issues on jump landings.
