Run profile #2 and Race Blinky mode, Dynamic brake to 0%. Set punch and brakes as desired/required for your track conditions and you should be all set. There was a setup sheet posted a few pages back for 2wd Buggy running mod motor (I forget if it was 8.5 or 7.5). I run the VXT10BE in my B4.1 and it has been great. One of these days I hope to be able to get my throttle EPA closer to 100%.

Edit: found it and attached.

If you try this setup, don't use the same settings for the brakes LOL...... I tried it and it was WAYYYY too much drag brake LOL. Other than that it's pretty good.

Right that's why I said set the punch and brakes to suit. I am running a fair bit of drag brake though that may change with the new layout at Bumps his week.

How often do u guys clean ur motors? What do u use? Any tips? If u use electrical cleaner do u spray the bearings? If so what do u use to re lubricate them? Thanks

AndrewTom 11-24-2012 06:13 PM

I usually use Tri-flow lube on my metal sealed bearings.
I am yet to take apart my motor, i probably should though. just to check all the components are in check.

Mine all came with a manual on a single piece of paper that covered the full capability of the esc. You can find that manual here:

http://www.viper-rc.com/pclink/updat...manual_A55.pdf

assuming your speedo has a55 firmware on it.

Cool. I hope to be back up to bumps soon and check it out. I'm running at the new track in Vineland right now. Hoping the bumps guys can make a trip out occasionally :)

When you plug in the ProGauge and link to device it will then tell you the firmware that is on the device.

Did you get the setup worked out? The user manual and some stickers have been on the very bottom of the boxes of my Viper ESCs...under all the foam.

Yeah I got the stickes under the foam. It's no biggie on the directions since they are on vipers site thanks to the link above. The instructions on the site explain everything I needed. Shiuld I start out with just the stock profiles? Was gonna go with profile 2.

We had a huge race yesterday with 21 entries in stock buggy. I am pretty sure I was the only one running Viper products too. I ended up qualifying 8th and finishing 7th in the A. Pretty happy with that as I am just a "part time" racer and there were a ton of super fast guys there.
My question is how much drag brake are you guys running in 17.5 blinky buggy? I let one of the fast guys drive my buggy and he said I need more drag brake to transfer more weight entering the corner.

I think this would be a better asked question at your track. don't be afraid to ask the fast guys questions. If they are a good racer, they'll help you out.
otherwise I would start at 5% and see if you can notice the difference. and add more from there.
