If it was upgraded to the a30 software, make sure you are pushing the button after full throttle and full brake. Also, try moving your throttle trim a few clicks either direction, them re-calibrate.

Just got home from a great weekend at the SC Showdown. It was really cool meeting a bunch of people, answering questions, showing off he products - I am pretty sure the hobby shop to some orders from some new Viper customers.
Huge thanks to Mike Aliberti, who made his race debut with the team this weekend, by taking TQ in Stock. He finished a hard fought 2nd in the main, it was close battle several times through the race. But then backed up the stock podium with a 3rd place finish in Modified with a full field of factory backed drivers. Mike got to the front early and stayed there. Pulling wheelies down the straight almost every single lap - you could literally see the boost kick in.
Also, thanks to Mike Wilder how also made the Modified and 4wd Modified A Mains - in both races he had a sniff of the front spot, especially the 4wd main - but a great set of runs to finish 6th in 2wd and 5th in 4wd.
Finally, thanks to the customers at the race using the products, I think I got to see just about everyone, there were some questions but no problems - expect I made Todd Anderson's SCTE too fast for him
.
Just so you know - here is the equipment the guys used.
Mike A = Stock - VTX10 with VST17.5, Mod - VTX10 with BE 8.5 test motor
Mike W ran VTX10R in both 2wd and 4wd with Reedy Motors (8.5 in 2wd and 5.0 in 4wd).
All and all a great weekend, we got some good testing done with the 10R in 4wd SC, made some new fans -- turned some heads!!!

The biggest hold up is usually a lack of information. Viper needs the customer to fill out the RMA form on the Viper Website, and a copy of the RMA form in the box with the equipment.
You would be surprised at the amount of equipment that shows up with no information in regards to what happened to it, who it belongs to, or who to ship it back to. If any of the information is missing, Viper has to let it sit because they don't have any information on who it belongs to or what happened to it.

Many people report full turn around in under two weeks (that is back to them, not two weeks at Viper).

Is there an updated setup sheet for the esc? And what i am talking about is the intial calibration.

The SC10 is cramped for space around the motor, but Viper does make a motor called the VST-"L", which is a 550 motor that is made to fit in the SC10 4x4. The motor is shorter vs the VST-XL (which would be a true sized 550) so that it will fit into the SC104wd Chassis with no modification. These are fully sensored motors in 4.0 and 5.0 turn configurations, and would have to be run off of the VTX10R ESC
The next option are the Copperhead systems. These are built around bashing / budget racing and offer very good performance out of a sensorless design. They are very smooth for sensorless, but have allot of power.
