any word on when they will be back in stock? VX4R.45 that is :)
|
VTX10R and 4.5 550 can just showed up today, just finished installing and playing with the progauge. I'm assuming I should be running profile 2 for this setup since the 550 can's don't like timing? Shortcourse night tomorrow night

2 pole 550 cans respond to timing as well as 2 pole 540 cans. it's the 4 poles where timing isn't very effective.

Asking for a friend..........Does anyone know if the Copperhead 5150 motor fit in an Ae 4x4? I remember reading somewhere where the Associated has a tight fit for some motors, and you have to dremel it?

Ok, so dialing in a little timing on these if I need some more top end should be ok, obviously make small changes and check temps. Also my vtx10r had a sticker on the box saying it had the new A30 firmware installed and that radio calibration was different. I didn't seem to be any different so what's the differences with the A30 firmware?
I believe the A19 you just hold down the power button for 3 seconds as you turn it on, then go max forward throttle, beep, max revers, beep, and its set... with the A30 you do the same but when you go max foward you push the power button, beep, max reverse and push the power button, beep. To reiterate, thats just off the top of my head, its something similiar to that. So yes it is different and the instructions are on Viper-rc.com under the VTX10/10R ESC section of there website. Hope that helps! |

Opinion???
Im getting ready to upgrade my TEN-SCTE 4x4.
Y should I pick the VTX10R over the Tekin 1/8 ESC? Y should I pick the 4.5 550 over the 4600kv? Or should I go with the 5150kv ESC and MOTOR Combo? !!!BESIDES THE PRICE DIFFERENCE!!! My big fear is buy the viper and have lots of probs with it. I race 3 different tracks a week. Indoor and outdoor. Carpet and dirt. Thank Chad |
Price
Well just checked Amain hobbies and the Tekin RX-8 and 4600kv would actually price out less than the VTX10R w/ the 4.5 550 motor.
Need some help here??? My 4000kv motor ain't cutting it. |

spider- Why choose Ford or Chevy, Coke or Pepsi. This is one our our solutions to help racers go fast. Both have proven to be fast products. We think our solution with a smaller footprint, no laptop needed for programming and more is a great solution. Looking to save a little - check out our Copperhead system. I think A Main sells the motor and speed control for $150. Similar power - much more cost savings.

if you guys are looking for a system for your losi short course trucks get the copper head system it is way better then running a 10r and 550 motor and you cant beat the price
as for everyone else i was able to try some new stuff this weekend and i will say when the new black motors come out you will want to ge one or two of them |
groundpounder- no issues with fitting in the SC10 4wd. Check out LiveRC's pics from Motorama, they took a shot of my truck in the pits with the Copperhead system in it.
