If you mean your problem is that when you do calibration (with A30 firmware), you hold for 3-5 seconds to get into calibration mode, then go full throttle and push the button (and it beeps), then you go full brake and push the button, but you do not get any beeps until you go back to neutral, then that is fine.
There has been some confusion with A30 as some are expecting the VTX to "beep" when you are at full brake and push the button. It will not make any noise until the trigger goes back to neutral.

Also make sure the sensor wire is plugged in. I do not think you will get a beep if it is unplugged (Calibration and the lights will still work)

Yes that is my problem. I was expecting the beep while holding full brake and didnt get any notification when pressing the button. I just redid it and after a few seconds when trigger returned to neutral I received the beeps and esc armed.
Hope that is what you are describing.
I did lower the the freq down to 1000 to start.
I wont have much time to learn more about the system before the races friday night but I hope to get some practice and testing done fri afternoon/eve.
Thanks

I have a sc10 4x4 with mmp and Novak 5.5 hv 550 motor. I was going to buy a Tekin Pro4 until I came I read about Viper. I would like to hear comparisons of the Viper, Tekin and Novak motors. Most guys around here run the Tekin Pro4 4000. I don't know anyone running the vipers, but am very interested after reading about them. I am interested in the 550 and the 540 (if Viper has one like the Pro4 4-pole).
What Viper motor compares to the Tekin Pro4 540 4 pole?
Will a Viper motor run well with a MMP? If so, which models?
Whats the difference between the viper copperheads and their other motors? I really am interested in the sensored unless someone changes my mind.
Also, I really like the idea of the progauge and would be interested in a complete system.....any info would be appreciated.

In theory the high watts the more power the motor makes
Vipers 540 can VST's up to about a 6.5T kill . Tekin, Novak based off Watts.
After the 6.5T mark the other start building more.
My Viper 6.5T I just got in the mail has about the same watts as Novaks 5.5T 540 can
I know Novaks 4.5T 550 can is strong. Very strong. I can't compare Viper to it. I sold it to buy more viper parts for my B44.1 and SC10 2wd.
I know my Viper 17.5T out pulls my Novak 13.5T all day. Huge difference in power from the two...

It moves. and moves fast
I am running a Clutch Basket and 3 HD pads nut flush and It will pull the front wheels up everywhere. It likes to do back flips on a level surface.
I had a guy with a Tekin 4.5 drive mine and he said the Novak had more go.
Gearing was 15/62

Thanks.....Is there must difference between the Novak 5.5 HV 550 that I have and the 4.5 you run?
I would still like more info on the Viper setups vs the Tekin Pro4 4000 if anyone has any input. Really like the Viper features but haven't heard from anyones experience.

The VST4.5XL 4.5T is 807 watts
Tekin Pro4 4000 doesn't have a watts listing.
Tekin SC4X 4.5T has 900watts.
Viper's copperhead R is I am told going to be bad ass but people have been waiting and waiting for them to come out and no words. but they are sensorless. I like sensored after driving them
#3581
They will be out very soon...very soon
#3582
I am interested in the copperhead combo but not going to wait much longer... How do they compare to the mmp and pro4 4000? Never ran a sensor less motor. Any pros/cons vs sensored motor? I even thought about a viper Vtx10r esc and viper or pro4 motor. any thoughts?

I want them to hurry up as well..been testing it for a month now. I want you guys to see why I like this combo so much.
The Viper stuff period is very good. You can't go wrong with either.

The Copperhead is extremely smooth for a non-s motor. I was surprised just how smooth it was. I guess paired with an esc that is designed specifically for a certain motor makes a huge difference. It's designed for the budget racer/basher, but it has held it's own for me racing.
