one customer's happy dealings with Viper

today I got a phone call from Raegan over at Viper. I sent my VTX10 back because of an apparent lack of push brakes. Raegan got it hooked up and diagnosed the problem (user error). I sent it Monday, its coming back today. We are from the same area and talked a little about the local scene. Very pleasant.

The speedo and motor have been great. I run a Viper 8.5, smooth and fast, in a Losi 22. To all that might be a bit concerned about a new company, todays dealings have secured a customer that will let all my race buds know what they just got beat with. Thanks.

Looking forward to what is next from Viper

When my motor sensor wire popped out (it's happened once before), my Tekin RS went into sensorless mode, allowing me to finish my race. Would a Viper simply stop running on the track if a sensor wire popped out or a sensor board failed mid race?

ok stupid question dose the 550 can 4.5 have a 5mm shaft or are all mod 1 pinions the same?

onefast8 07-14-2011 04:30 PM

Viper 550 has a 5mm shaft.

There are 3mm and 5mm mod one pinions available.

Sometimes ppl call 3mm 1/8 also, just a heads up but mostly irrelevant to this conversation :ha:
