Good to see a Blitz out there at WC. Last time I was there, I was the only one with an ESE.
FT SC10's everywhere. One or two XXX SCT and a couple of Kyosho SCR's.

Off topic - But would you be able to share your setup at WC.
I was running 35/30 oil, AE Blue/Gold Spring, B/B piston, 30k Gear Diff, 30mm Ride Heigh front/Rear. Also using the Silver 5* front bulkhead.
It runs great and planted.

thanks, Jeff
Thanks, Ya my ese felt really good there. If i remember i have 40w shock oil in all 4, stock ese springs, 30k in gear diff, panther clay switch 2.0. It really close to Jesse R. setup

I'm going to run 13.5 Viper brushless system. At ROAR or IFMAR events can I use any ESC profile (preset or modified) or do I have to use a preset profile?

Thanks

I want to try the Panther switch. I'm currently using the JC Barcodes Gold. Works well. The guys at WC also recommends HB Beams Pink.

Ok guys now I really don't know what is up with this thing? do you have to have a digital servo for the viper speedo to work because, I plugged in my 9650 tail servo from my heli and it works great with the car if only it was a full size servo I would be golden?

I wonder if I messed up my hitec servo with the servo tester functions in the proguage?

The saga continues..

I got to run the 10r paired with my viper 4.5 today in my SCTE and it was a screamer...the two together make for a wicked combo. Played around with some of the settings in the esc as well and it responds very well to changes.

Viper Teammates and all others check this thread out...There looking for donations of old AM/FM/or 2.4 Radios and reciever....and old Brushed esc and motors for the Boy scouts of America....Most of us have plenty of this stuff laying around that we will probably never use again...so here is something you can do with it....Sounds like a cool program so I thought I would pass it on to ya.

I am using the VTX10R with a 6.5T motor in a durango 410 on a small grass track .... ESC and motor are getting way too hot . (I use the standard profile 2). What can I do to keep temperatures down (I set the shutoff to 190F for the motor and 220F for the ESC)
Gearing: 20T

Default Capasitor

Can anyone tell me if the larger capasitor from the LRP SXX will work on the VTX10 in place of their small two capasitor design without any performance issues?

What is the pole count on the new 550 motors? I'm considering ordering one, but am concerned it may be a zero sum game against my Tekin stuff. I admit, I like that, from the initial release, it looks like these are a bit bigger and heavier than the Tekin stuff, but wasn't sure what kind of pole configuration you guys decided on.

sounds like your gearing is either under or over geared not to sure on the dingo and where gearing should be.

I dont know why you would want to ditch the ones that come with it, they perform just fine for everyone and a couple top level drivers.

What are your's doing that no one else has an issue with yet?

Hmmm, I was hoping someone might have finally released a 4-pole 550, but it's not a huge deal. I like that the can is longer and therefore has more cooling area and presumeably it should be a bit torquier given the can size. I just know my Tekin starts to thermal if my truck gets much heavier (we had a muddy track last week) and I'm trying to find a good solution to that. I like the longer canned motors. I also like moving weight from the left side of the truck to the right. Thanks for the info!

I think I set the temperature shutdown too low --- I measured the motor and the ESC - 156F is not too much .... I will raise the ESC to 220F and motor 200F
