when racing on Direct Drive Rpm log are more important,
also work's on buggy, so how about new esc Firmware with rpm log.:)

Hi,

I have seen on ebay a bullistorm 60amp sensored esc with programme box..is this the same as a hobbywing 60amp esc and is the firmware updatable?

Also, can the 120amp HW esc run a sensored motor if you take the sensor lead off,as i tried this with mine ,LRP x12 17.5T,and it would not run?..i thought they could run sensored and sensorless?

One more question!...when i ran my 17.5T x12 Lrp,with 120amp HW esc, after about 5 mins it lost a bit of power, motor not hot,all settings ok....put and new battery on and the power was back..plus there was plenty left in the battery that i took off,??....

Cheers simon

Telemetry is pretty much useless on in off-road, to much wheel spin to make the recording usefull. Its mainly an on-road tool.

Still wouldn't mind having it though, then to make a dyno you would only need a flywheel. (or even just acouple of rollers with a conveyor belt to make a chasis dyno. )

Shawn.

see, we do not need Dyno, ESC Firmware with RPM Log, in it would bee the best.

Just go away with your constant dribble .... you contribute nothing :flaming:

I live in the certainty that when the new one comes out, you are going to be so disappointed, and I am going to be really happy. In the meantime, shutup.

I had the same problem.

As the amps increase the voltage decreases. Even if the battery has 7.7v left in it the turbo / timing features might be enough to drop that down to the LVC level under load and as a result you lose power.

Buy a ThunderPower LIPO.

Problem solved.

It worked for me anyway.

sunktothenutz 06-11-2011 05:54 AM

Hi,
Thanks...what about lowering the LVC?..its on 3.2 at the mo......

Cheers simon

.
Bullistorm is a copy of the hobbywing ,not manufactured by hobbywing

Yes can run sensorless and sensored .

what the c rating of your battery ?see you can have capacity but how quick does the voltage drop on your pack is it linear ?or does it decline very quickly.?

from what you have told us i see that you have a big voltage drop and very quick drop at that .

sunktothenutz 06-11-2011 08:27 AM

Hi,
its a 6500mah 30C.............have used it with a 8.5t losi motor with no problems over 8 mins heats............someone said that if a rotor has been overheated it can use up more power?....i bought the motor second hand, seems to run well apart from this problem......

Overheated esc .

haven't run 1/12 since posting this...

anyway, was bench testing my car this evening after installing higher turn motor (7.5T SP Comp2). so i put on a 1S pack, turned the radio and the esc on and pulled the throttle... the car would rev but i wouldn't get that sudden high-pitched rev indicating the boost wasnt kicking in. looked at the esc and noticed the green blinking led again. when i 1st turn on the esc, no lights. pull the throttle, even just a fraction to roll the motor and the blinking green led lights up when i let go.

esc fried? :(
