It was kinda easy, but it took more time than i expected.

I will post step by step.

1: desamble whole radio so just the plastic parts are alone
2: wash all plastic parts
3: Rugg up the surface of the plastic (every little spot) with 340 sandpaper
4: wash again
5: spray on plastic ground liquid
6: spray on grey surfacer
7: grind with 340 sandpaper til you have a smooth surface
8: wash again
9: spray on grey sufacer again
10: watergrind with 600 Water sand paper
11: wash again
12: Let it completly dry before painting white (my orange was fasflourcent so i needed to paint white first)
13: check for any bubbles or if the surface is not completly smooth, if you find any spot take a 600 watersandpaper and watergrind really carefully at that spot.
14: paint white again. (paint white til you cant find any black spots left on the plastic. the black spots will shine threw the orange really well if you dont paint enough white color.
15: paint the orange color til you get the color you like
16: let it dry for atleast 1hour
17: spray on 3-5 thin coats with clearcoat, depends on what clearcoat you have there is different times for drying. read on the product.
18: let it dry atleast 24h before putting it back together.

All those things can you get from a car painting shop.

Hi
can anyone tell me if there are any other reveivers that can be used with the. M11 as I heard there is an Ansmann receiver that can be used.
Cheers Malc

now I see why it looks so good. This isnt a simple rattle can paint job.
Thats almost exactly the steps I took to paint my bike. It took 2 days of prep work and 2 hours to paint.

Good job man.

how Easy is it to stip the M11x down ???

i was trying to watch the Sanwa man at the worlds but he was soooo quick HAHAHAHA

want to paint mine red and white

putte_Rolf 08-09-2012 12:55 PM

@Franchise

yea true story. the "before work" is the most important.
took me about 2½ day to do this.

@sidecarphil1

Its really easy. every screw has its place. you cant put wrong screw on wrong place becasue it wont fit. so there is really easy to put it all back together.

My m11x is not centered for throttle and steering for some reason...How I found out was by the monitor...is there anyway to recalibrate or something?

slyts6 08-22-2012 05:17 PM

Hey guys I'm new to sanwa products and I've found a m11x at my LHS for $399... I plan to use it mostly for my 2.2 MOA crawler and wondering if someone could confirm that this radio will allow me to have Dig and proportional dig also?

Slightly off topic but have any of you need up running their receivers on 2s lipo...if so did they last ok?

Just wondering if it shortens life!

Asharus 08-23-2012 06:43 AM

yes, 2S lipo is fine. thats how we power our receivers in our nitro buggies

Lonestar 08-24-2012 03:31 AM

Hey all

what's the least expensive rx (sanwa or el-cheapo) that will function "properly" (I don't mind a slightly less blazing reaction time) with the M11X please?

thank you,
Paul
